HS26541PT Head Gasket Kit Replacement for 2011-2016 Chrysler Jeep Grand Cherokee Dodge Ram 1500 3.6L V6 Pentastar

Was skeptical about purchasing a Chinese gasket kit. But the was surprised the quality is close to OEM. No leaks yet and head gaskets sealed just fine. Recommended if you’re on a budget. Great product so far. Happy with the results.

Had to replace head on our van. Needed parts that could be used instead of expensive dealer parts that if truth be known are probably made in the same place.

Winter weather caused the delivery to be late. Otherwise just great

So far the rest of the kit is holding up but in my case, both gaskets were tough to fit over the dowel pins, it took dome patients and i was finally able to get them aligned. Ran great for the first 500 miles, then one day while driving home from work, i pulled in the driveway and heard my cooling fan running on high speec, looked at temp gauge and noticed it was at the 3/4 mark, then suddenly the engine light came on. I hooked my OBD reader up and it showed 86 misfires in cylinder 4. i could watch the misfire count climbing 1 every 3 or 4 seconds. The coolant overflow was boiling and white smoke coming out of the exhaust. I let it cool down and opened the radiator cap, topped it off and fired the engine up and it immediately started blowing coolant out of the top of the radiator.Driver side gasket is blown. Both heads were brand new at $700.00 a pop. I just hope this didnt ruin a brand new head. There is a 1 year warranty on the gasket kit but i have been a mechanic long enough to know that they will never honor a head gasket warranty because it is impossible to prove it was faulty and they all claim it was an installation error. Do not feel loke that battle. I ordered felpro gasket and will do this job again. The 3.6 pentastar on a lifted jeep wrangle is a nightmare on a tear down.This is my fault, you just never trust cheap head gaskets.
