A Conquer’s Sword
First off, this is definitely meant to be a decorative piece. It is not meant to be used in any way other than as a wall hanger or as a prop. So if you’re buying this with the intention of actually using it (like training or to have some fun cutting fruit, etc) then you will most likely be disappointed. The sword was not crafted for such things, so it will likely break in some way. With that being said: As a decorative piece (again, its intended purpose) ABSOLUTELY AMAZING quality for the price point. The sword looks and feels great, with real weight behind it. The blade itself is not sharp at all, but that’s not really a con considering it’s not meant to be used. Theres 2 minor cons that for me didn’t even affect my rating: 1) The chain. I know its not meant to be hung by its chain or anything, but the chain broke as I was lightly handling the sword in its sheath. It took next to nothing for it to break but part of it stayed attached and the chain is really just to add a little flair anyways so, no big deal. 2) The quality of the sheath. Like many of the other reviews point out, the sheath is this kind of a hard plastic material. Not the best quality to be honest, but also not the worst. And the metal parts fitted on to it are such high quality, that it makes up for it in my opinion. Anyone leaving a negative review for the sheath is being completely unrealistic. Try finding a good quality sword with a high quality, hard wooden/leather sheath for under $100. Good luck. If you find one, please send me the link. As for the shipping, I was fortunate enough to have received everything as shown. Nothing was damaged during transit so everything was delivered in perfect condition, although I know not everyone gets lucky like that. TLDR: Extremely satisfied with this purchase. The design is beautiful. The blade feels great. The sheath is not the best material, but it looks very nice and firmly holds the blade in place. The chain is cheap but who cares. The sword is what matters, and the sword is awesome. Oh, and as a bonus, it comes with a simple wooden stand for display. Great purchase

Nice Gladius!! Well made and heavy too
This is heavy and well crafted with an engraved blade. I wasn't expecting it to be this top quality, will def order from this company again. It comes with a nice wooden display stand that is also very sturdy.

Nice display sword
The blade is completely dulled, but that's fine for a display. The blade also has a simple pattern along the length of it which adds a nice aesthetic, though it isn't as prominent in the product images. It's sturdy enough, but I wouldn't actually use it as a sword. The sheath is a lot more glossy in person, definitely plastic poorly imitating wood, though the metals braces are sturdy and look nice. It looks nice enough. The handle and its engravings are exactly as shown. It came with both the stand and the chain. I haven't used the chain, but the stand works fine.

Pretty reproduction sword
This is my first purchase of this sort, so I am not an expert. I enjoy ancient history and remember seeing a reproduction. Sword like this from the Franklin Mint as a child. When I saw this, I thought I would try it since it was a good price. It is an attractive sword. It is not a nice as other reproduction swords I have seen, but for price I think it is nicer than I would expect. The scabbard is simulated wood plastic with metal ornaments. The sword has a sharp tip and dull edge which I would expect with a display piece. The sword has simulated etching with imprinting on the blade. The handle has metal ornaments and plastic components. I particularly like the gold accents which were absent on some other swords on amazon. I think the stand is ugly so that was the main disappointment. My ideal sword would have no plastic components and real engraving on the blade, but I wouldn't expect that quality for $40. All in all, I feel I got more than my money's worth, so I am pleased.

Better than I would have imagined
This was a gift for my son. He collects swords and has had vintage ones. I had even warned him this is a display item and won't be like the real ones. I had not expected this to be of such good quality. I don't even like weapons but had to admit it is beautiful. Shipping was in good time. No complaints.

pos
It's a total decorative piece. Swiped it twice at a fence lightly & the handle shattered. Completely no point in owning a sword if you can't even protect yourself with it

AWSOMESWORD!
This sword is great for any beginner sword collectors or just a gift. The carvings on the handle are very cool and same with the blade. The sheath is made out of plastic but from a distance it looks real. The only pain was the blade because it is dulled for the shipping

Looks great all the pieces
Received this item as promised on the 12/07/22 as written . Never opened box when I received it. But was given today as present for Christmas when box was opened the handle was BROKE off the rest of the sword. So lucky I could just pull out billfold and hand over 75.00 dollars so they can get something at a knife shop ! So it just ended up going in the dumpster with the rest of the trash !!! Not a quality product !!!

For the price, the level of detail and steel that went into this is pretty impressive, a lovely display replica for the amateur collector. Anyone looking to spar with it will be disappointed however, I would say it is to fragile for that. Only one small negative to mention. The blade itself, as it tapers thinner from the guard to the stabbing tip, is not really a true gladius style.

Very beautiful gladius. Very proud of my gladius. A great buy. Above my expectations of 200%! A collector's item for lovers of Ancient Rome and its formidable army of legionaries! Strong and sturdy sword. Gladius delivered with a stand! Quick delivery.

This is a very beautiful, well-made Gladius; a fine representation of the famous Roman sword. By the elegant style of it, I would think it is supposed to be one worn by a Roman General, or upper-class officer in the legions. My only complaint is the dull edge of the blade. I would have appreciated a much sharper steel, and I have spent several hours with a file and stone to try to work a keen edge into it. Other than the dull blade, it is a great display piece.
