As a cat behavior professional I have used a lot of medicine and pheromones to affect behavior. So far I have not seen much, if any, success with pheromone products, but I wanted to give this brand a choice (have done every version of Feliway for many years with many cats). The vial lasted a long time, longer than Feliway, so I liked that. There appeared to be no effect on either of the cats in the house. I did dig into the patents for the product and as far as I can remember it is pretty much the same thing as one of the Feliway products.

Cool concept of a diffuser for the cat. This would be more likely to work if you keep your cat in one area or room as it works up to 750 sq feet of diffusing. My cat has a room he stays in at night so I can diffuse it and know he’s actually receiving the pheromone. Mine is still a kitten so I’m waiting for him to come a little more of age just because the packaging mentioned cats of all ages but not kittens.. so just wanted to be safe.

I do believe that it has helped my cats a little, however the downside is that they leak. I mean leak, leaky, leaking, leakiest. Hot oil spewed up and down the wall, underneath the diffuser, on the diffuser and on the floor. It’s why they tell you to give it space, 4ft by 4ft of space so the hot oil has a place to spew freely. Some kind of product. Way to go people. No don’t purchase this product. The leaking makes it not worth the trouble. And they all leak, all of these diffusers all overheat, all spew hot oil and are all fire hazards.

I have a two year old Maine Coon who is pretty much perfect except since he has no cat playmates he plays with me. I use a pheromone diffuser to keep him from getting too aggressive when he plays with me like another cat. I was using the best Comfort Zone but it was starting to not be as effective. I had a b Serene spray that was way out of date and I sprayed it on a bathroom rug. My cat immediately started rolling on the rug like it was catnip so I tried the diffuser. I can say it has made a difference in his comfort. He’s much more relaxed when resting. He rarely goes under the bed to nap now. He naps on top of the bed or on one of his cat trees. Every cat is different so I can’t say it works for the stated issues since my cat doesn’t have them but for my situation it works very well.

So we have one high strung cat, on top of that we had a house fire that led to multiple relocations in a short period of time so she was super stressed. Started peeing on things. All the things. I was at my wits end after trying multiple products and suggestions. This plugin seems to have done the trick! Not only have we had no more incidents but our anxious cat has become more affectionate. Actually all three of our cats have become so, so win win. Also if you have a Feliway base, these will fit in it. I have one base of each but the feliway didn’t seem to work compared to this brand.

Probably need to use this in a small room, not an open floor plan. Unfortunately, other than the bathrooms, the doors are always open. It didn't seem to help calm down my one cat that I can't touch. Although I've had her since she was a kitten, I'm not allowed to touch or really get near her. I keep hoping I can find something that will make her a little bit calmer so I can actually pick her up.
