Milk Gianduia with Hazelnuts Soft Bars, 7.05 oz - Gluten Free

Delicious chocolate with hazelnuts.

Beyond delicious. For hazelnut lovers like myself Venchi milk chocolate soft bars is the perfect treat. I hate it that US based bars have hazelnut pieces and not whole hazelnut (looking at you Lindt US). Venchi is packed with nuts. Soft and substantial. Pricey - but what’s life without chocolate. Get it. You’ve earned this treat.

Was melted, needs better packaging. The chocolate is delicious but not properly packaged for shipping to warm locations.

Good Product

I believe there is more added sugar in this than its nutrition label admits. Excluding the whole hazelnuts, sweetness seems to me comparable to Lindt milk chocolate, about 50% sugar by weight.

Delicious, creammy with strong hazelnut flavor!

I was initially very disappointed because this chocolate arrived completely melted. It was packaged in an insulated bubble mailer with a cold pack that had completely thawed but still had some condensation, so I thought it may have been fine. But as soon as I opened the box and took out the thankfully wrapped chocolate bar, it was obvious that it was melted all the way through. I put it in the fridge in the box, to help it maintain the original shape a bit more, and it set back up pretty well. It formed a bit of a tent over the top, from the chocolate that was on the packaging, but the majority solidified back into a thick bar and the hazelnuts were still distributed well and not clumped together in one place. This chocolate has a mild flavor and the hazelnuts give it a nice texture element. The bar is thick and heavy but even after being in the fridge for a couple of days it was not super hard. It was still soft enough to bite into easily and melted quickly where my fingertips touched it. I had never heard of Gianduia before but have had hazelnut chocolate in the past. This is a nice product for people who like the flavor combination, though a bit expensive in my opinion and shipping could be better to prevent it from melting.

This was my first time trying Gianduja Chocolate. This type of chocolate has hazelnut butter as 30% of the chocolate, which is likely why it is so smooth and creamy. It was absolutely delicious and I felt like every portion I took a piece of had hazelnuts in it. Now, it’s been 90+ degrees here in Texas, and I credit Amazon and possibly the seller for specifically sending this via UPS with perishable labeling, a thermal pack to hold in cold, as well as a freezer pack to try to deliver this bar in the condition it left the warehouse in. It was delivered later in the day, which resulted it being on the truck all day, and by the time it was delivered it was definitely hot. First thing I did was rush it to the fridge to try to keep it together. That seemed to work and I just opened it today to take a taste. As you can see from the picture some melting did occur, but the bar was mostly still in shape. If you’re ordering this for a gift to a hot environment, it may not be the best choice, but if you’re getting it for yourself, I wouldn’t hesitate! I think I also saw some previous reviews noting expired or near expiration, but my chocolate bar received is good until 3/18/2025 which is about 9 months from when received.
