A Slice of Heaven! Firm, Comfortable, Well-Packed, Very Low Odor, at a Reasonable Price.
Absolutely love it! Unlike most people that have written reviews on this, I bought it to be my bed, not for a guest room or bunk-bed, etc.. I was looking for something that didn't take up much room (currently renting one room in a house) and could be rolled up or stood up during the day to provide more space. I needed it firm but not stiff (60+ male, 200 lbs with a few chronic med issues), since it would be laying on a piece of carpet on a wood floor (no frame). It has more than met my expectations so far. I can't wait to go back to bed later :-). It came vacuum-sealed and rolled up, encased in a thicker (4-5 mil?), "tube" of plastic inside a good-quality, thick cardboard box. Carefully cut the thicker plastic (too tight to slip off) tube off (use scissors if you want to be sure not to slip and cut into the mattress) with a box cutter and cut off the plastic "bag". No big release of chemical vapors like others I've dealt with in the past. I was very surprised how low (almost non-existent) the odor was. Had to get really close to the mattress to notice it. It expanded pretty fast to the full 5" and I let it lay on the living room floor overnight and into the next day to air out (instructions say it can take up to 48 hours to fully expand but mine took less than an hour). Next day I replaced my bed-roll (2" mattress topper with a couple pads for easy roll-up and stashing out of the way) with this mattress and tested it out. Super comfortable for me. It is firm (some would say very firm) but for me it has just enough give and provides great support). For a lighter person, it may be too firm depending on your taste. It's too thick to roll up like my make-shift bed roll but it will stand up in an area out of the way. I'll take that trade-off of a better sleep vs a bit more room any day. For those who want a softer feel, get a mattress topper for $20-$35. A topper of 1" - 3" will provide the softness and "give" that many like. It can then be removed for those who like a firm to very firm feel like I do. In any case, I was just going to lay on it for a while to read and check comfort level but ended up falling asleep before I had even put the sheets on. Got a great nap. Hadn't slept that well in months. Can't wait to try a full night of testing tonight :-))). Your mileage may vary. Sleep comfort is a very individual thing but for me and my needs, this mattress is a great fit. Hope it works as well for you.

Surprisingly great
I bought this for my daughter (6 years old at the time) and it is surprisingly comfortable, even more so than the rather complicated mattress I bought for my bed. Soft enough for side sleepers and firm enough for back and stomach. I love sleeping on it too. I was worried 5 inches would been to thin and cause the sleeper to bottom out on the box spring but it holds us up very well. Great little mattress for a great price!

Fantastic Mattress even for side sleepers
This mattress has been awesome. We’ve had it for a year now and it’s still going strong. The thinner depth was great for saving space on a bunk bed, but there’s no sacrifice to comfort. It’s in our toddler’s twin bed, but both of us parents have tested its capacity. I sleep on my side, and have had no issues with feeling wooden slats through it. My 190lb husband has also napped comfortably on it. Twin sheets fit on it with ease, and the part that’s great for me (who’s 5’2) is that it’s light enough to take on and off when I need to change sheets on the top bunk. Huge win!! We plan to buy this same mattress for our other child once they move out of the crib. Great value! Great comfort & light enough to move easily!

LINENSPA 5" Mattress: Thoughts and Sensations
The LINENSPA mattress looks beautiful, it is carefully made, and its cover is elegant, with a woven pattern. All the certifications testify to its technical quality and safety. The mattress feels quite firm, especially compared with a Serta PerfectSleeper 3" Gel Memory Foam Mattress topper, which I used briefly. My previous mattress (for many, many years) was a futon. It had become extremely uncomfortable, giving rise to pressure point pain, aches and pains, discomfort--the response of an aging body. The LINENSPA mattress gave a very good night's sleep, no residual aches or pains. Its feel is quite firm, with a slim layer cushioning on top. Sleeping on the Serta topper is like sleeping on a cloud (who said that?). It is soft and enveloping. Whereas sleeping on the LINENSPA mattress is like sleeping on a very firm cloud. The sensation of sleeping on the Serta was a slight feeling of weightlessness, of being in a cozy nest. It was more than pleasant--it was blissful, and for me, seemed to promote total relaxation. So by comparison, the LINENSPA (for me) was less blissful, but it gave me a good night's sleep. I wouldn't have been the wiser if I hadn't tried the Serta topper. So I'm going to keep LINENSPA mattress, use it for a while, and see what happens. But I won't forget the Serta topper. The LINENSPA's weight, 18-19 pounds, makes it easy to handle. Except for technical info and certifications, customer care and information with LINENSPA appears to be minimal, with one small statement on 10 year warranty and no information on how to return or where to call for warranty/recall issues, etc.--not that I expect to return it. But that kind of information is always reassuring. Also, information on cleaning/laundering the mattress and cover is on a small tag attached to them. All info on composition is online. Other info (returns, etc.) may also be there and I just didn't see it.

Just what we needed
We needed a quick set up and take down, (and also portable) twin bed for a college age guest that occasionally stays with us. We needed something better than an air mattress and something we could hide away. This worked out to be the perfect floor bed. We added a 2 inch memory foam mattress topper on top of it along with a fitted sheet. It’s pretty comfortable in this configuration - firm enough to lounge on and read, but also cushiony and supportive enough to sleep on for the week our guest spent with us during a winter storm. Our guest reported it was so comfortable, they would like to order a similar one for their first apartment. This mattress immediately came to life and expanded to full size right out of the box. There was no smell. We began using it 24 hours later. It is light enough than I can move it from room to room. Great solution!

Best purchase ever!!!
This memory foam mattress is amazing. When it arrived, it was in a nicely sealed air compressed package in a box. And when I say air tight, I mean it was solid it was so nicely compressed. Layed it in to position on the bed frame and cut the end of the package to allow the air to go in and do its thing. I removed the plastic completely and it fluffed right up. Now for maximum results I would suggest waiting a few hours or if you can, all day before laying down on it. So as to let it raise to its full potential. It has a really nice cover on it that adds to a its softness. It is removable and can be washed. When I first layed on it, I couldnt believe the support it gave. My back felt relieved within about 5 mins or so. I have been using it for several months now and it has not lost its comfort. Theres no worn down areas, no matted down spots, and stays put on the bed frame. No sliding around. I would say it can be put on to a box spring or even on top of your top mattress for that extra bit of comfort and support. So long as you order it to the size of your matress.

Not for me
Too thin didn’t hold up. Wasn’t comfortable. Soft but would say too soft. Go thicker . Smell was bad which is common with these mattresses . Not firm at all needs to be thicker

Floor bed for toddler
We bought this mattress as a floor bed for our 18 month old who had previously been sleeping on the floor. We chose this specific mattress because of the 5 inch thickness which allows him to have comfort and support while also not being far off the floor as he rolls all over the place at night (hence the lack of crib or structured bed). With that being said, we did not use slats, box springs, or a bed frame for this mattress. It is legit on the floor with nothing else other than blankets. Last night was our son’s first night sleeping on the Linenspa and either his monitor coincidentally stopped working or he did not wake up at all throughout the night which is unusual. I laid down with him at the beginning of the night and the mattress was very comfortable. When I rolled away to sneak out, I did not disturb him at all because my movement did not distribute throughout the mattress like with some; definitely a bonus!! The mattress arrived in a box and tightly sealed in thick plastic. We removed both layers of plastic and there was a sort of hissing sound that lasted several minutes. We gave the mattress the entire 48 hours to fluff up in a spare bedroom. There was a definite scent, chemical for lack of a better description. I did not smell lavender as another review mentioned. Once the mattress was in my son’s room, the smell was gone; thankfully so because it probably would have given me a headache had it not been on the opposite side of my house. If we didn’t have a new mattress on our adult bed, I would totally buy another Linenspa. I would say the only downfall to having a thinner mattress is normal sheets don’t fit tightly. I have not searched for sheets specific to thinner mattresses so they might exists. I definitely recommend this mattress. We hope our son can use it as he grows so we’ll see how it holds up!
