Does the job. No problems. Seems good quality.
Seems good quality. Nice and sturdy item. Easy to use. It has a simple locking hook device to keep the blade locked down when not in use. Lots of different drawn lines to help put the paper in the right position. Personally I don't use the plastic guard - it gets in the way a bit, and I'm a sensible grown-up - I'm not gonna do something stupid. Also it would be harder to easily store away while the guard is in place. I'm very happy with this guillotine, having used it several times so far with no hassles of any sort. Time will tell but so far it seems great.

very poor quality AND damaged - plus instructions in leaflet are ...
Guillotine arrived, very poor quality AND damaged - plus instructions in leaflet are wrong - the safety clip cannot be turned to the left and the supposed protection bar is not there, looks like a piece of plastic had broken of. I have returned it. The base is plastic - I wanted to cut quite a few sheets of paper but didn't get that far as I could not turn the 'safety leaver to the left' as it was already placed that way and most importantly the 'safety guard' is I think only a small piece of plastic - I say I think as it looks like it had broken of somewhere and was not in the packaging. I would not recommend this guillotine because it is not very strong, the blade overhangs the edge so would not be able to get a clean cut without paper sliding or tearing - if I could have got that far. Have supplied photos below.

Does it work well?
Tried to cut a piece of cardboard A3 size not overly thick it started off fine but halfway through the blade bowed so the card went between the blade and didn't cut, cuts paper fine.Not to happy to be honest

Cutting Dissapointment.
The guillotine is wobbly and made of light plastic. The blade is not particularly sharp, straight or good at cutting. Light paper gets trapped in the gaps between the blade and the desk and tears, heavy card gets mushed and torn by the blunt blade.Cheap but not very effective.
