I have bought other bell collars and the bells are terrible. I like this collar as the bell rings really well. The only down part was my cat scratched the collar so much he tore strings off of it which he got his mouth caught in one time as it was a loop. Every time I see a loose string I cut it. The red collar lasted about a month, it did not fall off but my cat broke through part of it.He has been wearing the black collar for two weeks and there are no strings hanging off it. I also like that these collars are very reflective.They break away if pulled hard so I am not worried about him getting caught anywhere.Even though the red one fell apart from his claws I do not seem to be having the same problem with the black one and for the price and the amount of collars you get it is a good deal.

I am a cat/kitten foster for local rescues. I have purchased several sets of these. They are inexpensive but the right amount of sturdiness for the price. You get a nice variety of color. They work great as whelping collars when the kittens are about 4 weeks of age. I use a set of light weight velcro collars cut to fit from 1-4 weeks, then match the same colors with these adjustable to small "breakaway belled collars. I use the colors to distinguish between kittens that look alike. I put these collars on for their first trips to the vet (well-check, first shots, then spay and chips). I love the bells which make it easier to find the kittens when they are hiding in the house. I definitely recommend these for people who own cats and kittens and those who foster. Cats and kittens tend to lose collars a lot, and these are inexpensive replacements that fit for quite a while.

You can write easily on the reflective part of the collar, using a black Sharpie, and it doesn’t fade. These are very sturdy collars and having the 6-pack is helpful because they do come off pretty easily if you have a high-energy, all-outdoors cat like mine. My cat got out of 2 collars within 6 weeks. The bell is louder than most! Overall I reccommenc!

First I remove the bell as not to deafen my cat. Then I take a nail file and sand down the edges of the clip and buckle. The cat shaped clasp is cute but too sharp. I file the ears down to look like a teddy bear. All of the black pieces have sharp edges so I sand them down until smooth. But the cost is worth the effort.

Like that they are durable, yet breakaway for safety! Great value for the money!
