Enjoying this laser
I will say if you get this #1 thing to do is check ALL screws especially set screws are in and tight before assembly. Besides that have fun I've been engraving on wood slate and granite. As with all lasers expect a learning curve learning settings required for various materials. Other than that have fun and be creative!

Box was Perfect Packed Great! But!!!
The Y Axis drive shaft was connected from the factory. I found the locking collar had machine tool burrs. Had to remove panels and remove the metal pieces from the the set screw. Hours of extra work.Luckily, I'm in that industry, but I didn't get paid for my time.

Powerful laser
This is a very nice laser unit, very well built. It does have some quirks and things that take time to figure out but I think the product is overall solid. The reason for the low rating however is that the positioning red laser square on the one I received is way off crooked not square and therefore useless as an alignment tool which is a huge disappointment since that’s part of the whole reason I chose this product, and the autofocus only works about 50% of the time and is very slow process when you have to do it multiple times before it works. The rod that it moves up and down on is also bent. I emailed customer support and got no response back. All in all I like the laser, but the company seems as bad as the Longer company for customer service. I did a full review of the longer Ray 5 disappointment for my YouTube channel and plan on a breakdown of the IKIER unit next. I hope the company gets back to me before Im ready to review as I’d like to review a fully functional unit.

Poor quality control - ughhhh
My wife got this unit for me and during assembly I found set screws missing, loose screw fall out of machine, electrical cable connection wires to short to laser, no instructions on how a beginner would operate touch screen and settings. Also it look like the screws were installed on rails as you see marks from that area. Maybe for testing but is it a used unit. Overall very disappointed and now trying to figure wear screw’s fell out from. If I can’t figure it out I’ll send it back and get a different brand. I also bought the roller and chuck kit who knows what will happen then. Spent hard when money for a product that I had high hopes for.

Nice Machine but....
I have had a CNC machine for about 3 years and decided that a laser is my next adventure. After much research I decided on the Ikier due to the speed, features and value. I bought the rotary chuck and extension kit also. When unpacking you will notice the machine is really well made and is packed nicely. The assembly is straight forward and extremely easy for the most part. The problem for me was the 18" or so steel transfer shaft. The video instructions show this going in very easily. I did not experience that. The shaft would not pass through the openings even with some extra encouragement. I decided after several failed attempts to return the laser. Since then I have seen that other customers have had the same complaint. In summary I cannot speak to the performance of this really nice looking machine, but there is a problem with at least some of them on installing the transfer shaft.

Works really well!
This laser took us about an hour to 90 mins to put together and the instructions are really well written and easy to follow. You will need a sturdy table to put the unit on and you will also need a laser bed because this does not come with one.You can use it online via laptop or phone, and offline directly through the machine. If you use the software indicated in the instructions you will need to buy a license for it after the trial period (unless you already have your own software you use). We had difficulty connecting to the machine via wifi (it didn’t work), but the laptop connects fine and otherwise you can just use it online.Be prepared to work with the metric system (aka mm and cm), and be able to convert between them - because everything is listen in metric (won’t be an issue for those used to it but I still wanted to mention it).In regards to the laser itself, it works great! We have engraved cardboard, leather, fabric, wood and metal, and we have cut all of those too. No issues with any of the projects we have started, but it does require some practice and work to figure out the best settings for your projects. All in all we are really happy with this and really excited to continue working with it!!This is super accessible for beginners.
