Adult Coloring Book: Nice Little Town Paperback – Large Print, November 6, 2017

The media could not be loaded. I have all of the coloring books in this series. I've been trying to wrap my head around all these houses in this little town but with this book, the intent becomes clear. Each book is of a new town. In this town, the architecture is much more modern than those of the previous books. It also appears to be near the coast or a large water source based on what are in some of the illustrations.Once I made the connection, I realized that I really like it! I get a whole new town and can think up ways of coloring that are specific to the vibe of that town. I purchased this book in the full size version but I think it may also be available in a smaller travel size. This is the size of a standard coloring book at 8.5 x 11 inches. I like the bigger book so I can play with shading, blending and such.While this is a brand new town, there are still cute cats and lots of fun detail, though with modern architecture, the style is quite different from the earlier towns.What is amazing to me is that the book contains 39 Town scenes and that the artist also has provided another ten “bonus” designs which almost demand a book of their own. I hope she finishes off a full book of those designs as well. Add to that another eleven sample designs from her other books and you have a full sixty designs in this book.This is what I discovered while coloring in this book and testing my coloring medium on the paper:39 line drawing designs of the current Nice Little Town. Gorgeous bonus designs and a great sample of designs from other books – wow!Printed one side of the pagePaper is typical of CreateSpace: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.The designs do not merge into the binding area.Glue BindingCreate Space Paper/Media QualityAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work fairly well with this publisher's paper provided you don't press extremely hard while coloring. I find that I can layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and I could blend easily using a blending stick. This is true of both oil and wax based pencils. I have also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.I like to use a blotter when working in this type of book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.

I don't know what took me so long to find this series or this artist, but now that I have, boy let me tell you, I own everything she has ever made. These little villages are so cute. The details are flawless, the images are crisp and whimsical, and with the world of adult coloring books headed towards AI, it is nice to find an artist who truly draws the images themselves. The paper leaves little to be desired but thats with most amazon printed books. Just try one, I promise you will be back for the whole series. Take it from me, as someone who own entirely WAY to many coloring books. Dont judge.....you probably do to. lol

It appears that, among reviewers, I'm in the minority in that I prefer the smaller versions of this series as this one is only offered in 8.5x11 standard. I loved how easy it was to carry and colour the little town books. That being said, this is my absolute favourite of the series. Tree houses, imaginative locations, even a VW Bus as the second storey of one home, so cute, and the fantasy "bonus" section with the little creature homes is so sweet.

This is an amazing coloring book with beautiful images printed in one side only, but the paper is a bit thin, so u have to use a cardboard or other paper between pages when u use it

I'm a huge fan of Nice Little Town series and own the other 2 in pocket sizes. I love the new size of this book and absolutely love love love the pictures! This has to be my favourite from this series so far, it is too cute. I also really like the bonus pictures that she added at the back. They are so cute and whimsy feeling. I hope she would release a book with those pictures and more. Here's hoping :) This may actually be one of my favourite colouring books I've gotten so far (60 and counting). I was disappointed though that the book I received from Amazon was damaged, but I loved it so much that I decided to buy another one from somewhere else.

Loved this book. Did all the picture. It was so interesting and just the right size pictures.

I was so happy when I first saw these as they are so cute. However, this coloring book has black on the back of each page. Pages are not perforated and pictures are printed on very thin paper, To pay 5.99 for a coloring book that doesn't meet the standards of the Creative Haven coloring books that cost the same or less is a shame. I purchased 2 of these Little town coloring books and while they are relaxing to color, they will eat up your colored pencils very quickly, especially if they are soft core. If you are going to buy any of these coloring books, I recommend you get some hard core pencils.

I love this book! I have loads of adult coloring books and this is my newest fav! Love the variety and bonus pages are unusually fun to color !
