Karcher 2.645-228.0 25 m Soaker Hose for Garden Irrigation System Black

I bought this 2 years ago and I am about to buy some more. I think enough time has passed for an honest review. I can say it weathered much better than the regular soakers that start hardening and soaking with irregular patterns. The Karcher is not easy to fit, I either use Gardena Fittings or I soften the yellow plastic first, but once is done is done. I have left the irrigation system on the ground for two winters and I have just tested it. Of course the sponge-like hoses are now not working properly, either hardened and not letting water through or have pin-like hole that let more water and pressure out. but the Karcher is fine. There you have it.

Works perfectly when on mains water pressure. Doesn't work well off of a water butt which is what I wanted it for. Will see if this changes when the weather warms up or I will find another use for it as it is great quality and works well when connected to the mains.

Excellent value for money. Hose has a plastic inner sheath with holes at intervals with an outer fabric cover allowing the water to soak through. Connects to Hozelock equipment and presumably most others of that type. A bit fiddly to connect as you need to push the plastic sheath on to connector first before pushing both sheath and fabric cover fully home and then tightening up.

Nothing alike other soaker hoses. Water come out irregularly, lots in one single point and nothing at all for the next metre. Completely unusable with my raised beds.

The one and only. This is the best soaker hose I have bought anywhere. Highly durable, uniform flow, ideal length.

Difficult to get the hose to allow water through. Needed a hard blast directly from tap to get it going

Theses are well made but are a fiddle to connectors, there true quality will been over the next couple of years. I trust the extra expense of this quality hose will be worth the extra £.

Répartition homogène des gouttes grâce à l'étui en tissu déperlant. Il faut faire attention à ce que le tuyau n'ait pas de creux sinon ça forme une mare au point le plus bas, les gouttes suivant la pente. J'ai un peu galéré pour fixer des connecteurs rapides type Gardena aux extrémités : Il y avait des fuites à ce niveau. En repliant le bord du tuyau intérieur en plastique sur lui même sur quelques millimètres pour créer une surépaisseur problème résolu. J'imagine qu'il doit exister des connecteurs adaptés, mais je ne les ai pas trouvés ?
