The description in the title says stainless steel and the ones I bought are not. There are 2 types. 1 you can tell its stainless steel and the other is a gelly type. I actually like the gelly because it is flexible and doesn't make my ear sore. I have big ears and there is plenty of bend and room. Love the variety of colors.

I actually use these for pregnancy belly rings, it’s the same material as them and you get more product for a great price. They last long, don’t snag on clothing, fit comfortably, and look great.

Worked perfectly for my daughter’s industrial piercing. Lots of super cute colors and good for the girlies who are sensitive to metals. You can interchange the balls and bars also.
