This stun gun definitely provides a good shock but the battery life is horrible. I can’t keep it charged for some reason so I feel it’s a bit useless to me if I were ever in an emergency situation needing to use it. Maybe I got a dud but it’s just not worth the time with the battery being so bad.

You have to press down and forward on the button to activate it. This means that once you jam it into an assailant you push it back into the handle and it turns off.If you're gentle, I guess you could carefully taze… come on, say that out loud and hear how dumb it sounds.If you press down hard enough to keep it open, you'll develop arthritis and should probably just learn to use that kung-fu grip in an actual martial art.It tazes… um, effectively? I mean, the thing sounds scary, it's loud and scares my cat and dog, and even my girlfriend who I thought I was getting this for. Instead, I think I might use this to power an ionic thruster. For the price it looks too good to be true, and it is, but maybe it'll be a good high voltage transformer.

I wasn't sure about this but I wanted something I could carry thats inconspicuous and capable of helping me defend myself shoudl the need arise. I could not find any volunteers to test it on, my husband did offer but then when he saw the arc of electricity that comes out of the thing he changed his mind. I don't blame him because that little thing is intimidating when you fire it off. Which may be enough to deter a would be attacker. The flashlight leaves much to be desired, more like decoy if you ask me but would work in a pinch. It feels a little flimsy, I dont know if I would want to keep it in my pocket or not but it does have a safety mechanism so it doesn't accidentally go off.Its nice that it is rechargable too but I cannot speak for how long it will hold a charge. I test itevery so often to make sure its got a charge since it is USB charger you can juice it up almost anywhere. If I ever get the opportunity to use it I will update my review with how it went since no one is willing to let me zap them.

I like the pink color and that's it's small enough to fit in my pocket or purse. I like the added security and peace of mind it gives me. Not sure how effective it will be because it sounds like a bug zapper, but it's better than nothing!! It's about the size of a large jump drive and fits in my purse easily. I don't use the light because it's not worth wasting the battery to turn it on - I would rather save the battery for an emergency use of the taser. Overall, I would recommend this product (or something similar) to keep on your person for personal safety reasons.

This is the second of these I've gotten. My first review still stands... The compact size is perfect for women to keep in their purses/wallets and men to keep in their pockets. I would recommend charging it every night though, as the charge on mine only lasted about 7-8 hours. That being said, this is PERFECT for those who want some extra protection but are on a budget, kids (especially females) that are in middle/high school/college, and/or elderly who want a little extra protection. You can't beat the product for the price.

In today's world we all need one of these..I got this for my daughter who will be 18 in a few months.. This is a crazy world and you can't trust everybody.... This is cute and small but MIGHTY, It kinda scared us at the sound because it's loud and if you have herd a taser you know that bug zap sound..... It's exactly as described and arrived on time.... happy with this safety item...

Impressed with the small size of this, easily fits in a pocket. Has a on/off switch incase you are worried about hitting yourself with it while carrying in your pocket. Looks very similar to a bulky USB drive. I haven't tested it on anything living however you can clearly see it arc against a box or other surface so it appears to work as intended.

Works. Loud as hell and effective. I will say the design is a bit flawed. Supposed to protect from accidental discharge say in a pocket or purse. But the double action safety can also disable the device. Meant to press and hold the button while simultaneously pushing thumb up projecting the prongs out towards the assailant just before discharging. This works fine as long as one doesn't forcefully jab the device into the perp while activating. The pressure could cause the prongs to retract thereby disabling the device. Should prob be the other way around for proper functionality.Also, replace the keychain ring with something stronger if using. The included one is flimsy.
