Compatible with RainBird 5000 series: Use Rotor Tool:
1. Insert T shaped end into corresponding slot on top of geared rotor.
2. Turn ''T'' sideways to the slot. Lift until stem is fully raised. The thin blade was engineered to easily slide through protective rubber rotor hoods and for easy to turn rotor screws.

Compatible with RainBird 1800 series: Use Spring Loaded Pliers:
1. Snap the jaw of the pliers into the top of the sprinkler head.
2. Squeeze the handle to open the jaw of the pliers and tighten them around the sprinkler head.
3. Pull upwards so that the sprinkler head does not retract into the sprinkler.
4. Release and grasp the tube of the sprinkler head with your hands.
5. Then you simply clamp the pliers around the tube of the sprinkler head. This leaves your hands release to keep the sprinkler head in the upward position for cleaning the filter or adjusting or replacing the sprinkler head.
