Small range finder for hunters.
This is much smaller than you think it is. In addition, please note the ruler on the back is not to scale, it’s only for converting US to metric. But it will be handy in my range bag for bullet drop data. I’m no hunter so likely won’t use the range finder data. But make sure you read the enclosed user manual on how to use this slide scale. Also, you will need to obtain ballistic data for your rifle and paste onto the back of the slide for accurate bullet drop data. This slide scale will adjust calculations for elevation or declination angles and give you actual horizontal range if you are trying to range a shot up or down a hill. It even has a handy angle reference on the back if you need a reference as to the angle you are on. Also if you are working with meters vs yards, just remove the slide and flip it over. One side is in yards, the other in meters. It’s like they thought of nearly everything! Oh, and I thought this thing looked sort of shabby when I got it. But only just realized it has protective plastic coating over the lamination. I pulled it off on both sides and it looks much better and I can tell it’s a quality product. The more I inspect this and read about it, the more I really like and appreciate the thought that went into it. Understand this is not a plug and play where you get it and go. You will have to obtain accurate ballistic data for your rifle and the load you are using. And you will need to understand how to use it properly.

Gets you in the ballpark
This Range Card allows a user to manually determine the range to a TGT using the reticle of their scope instead of relying on a laser rangefinder. As long as you know the height of the TGT you can use this range card as a quick reference to find the distance to the TNG using a slide rule. You can also use it to determine the angle to the TGT using a string tied to a rivet. Once you find the angle, it will give you the corrected distance to the TGT. (since at steep angles, the Line-of-sight distance is different than the distance that gravity will impact your round). On the right side of the card, it will give you a MOA / Mil adjustment that you can either dial into your scope turrets or perform a “hold-over”. However at long ranges, this card will not give you the “complete firing solution” it only accounts for gravity’s impact on the bullet. You will still have to factor in Temperature, Humidity, and air density to find the actual bullet drop to a given target.Overall – this is a nice quick guide that will get you in the “ball park”

Shooters' requirement, again
An Absolute Necessity! Although I'm not so sure just how easy it is for others to grasp/use; that being said, this thing is a snap to use once one understands it all. I learned to shoot quite young, "old school", estimating 'windage', etc. - through trial/error - aka - LOTS of practice; again, an advantage I 'assume' myself & others of similar experience/training may have in making use of this little jewel.I found a book at a yardsale on projectile trajectory, etc., etc., all of which was much the same as rocket artillery - just different scales. The book is awesome in its instructions, and even refers to same/similar tools as this (even includes how to make a rudimentary one in a pinch). I'm going to venture the guess that my training as an artillery surveyor (and MLRS crewman) is a huge part of the reason(s) this - and the book(s) - are pretty easy for me to understand and apply. This is going to make my shooting much more fun, and hopefully better and more successful - ammo is getting too expensive for it to be the sport/entertainment it used to be. Precision, long-distance, high caliber marksmanship is one of the shooting sports I'm getting back into - this will be a nice asset to put to use.

Can't be trusted.
Has a " 6 in ruler" that says "Not to scale" if they can't get the ruler right how can you expect them to get the other calculations right!

Analog slide rule type target/range calculator. No data entry needed.
This appears to be made of some sort of plastic and should last a very long time. The printing is clear and very legible. No data entry (or batteries) needed - it operates like a slide rule. Marked for ranges out to 2000 yards. Comes with a comprehensive manual. It's kind of a Mil-Dot Master knockoff. Can't wait to try this out at the range to make sure it's accurate before I do anything like hunting or long range competition. I have a Vortex Razor HD (expensive) and it works great! However it's one more thing to have to carry around and it uses batteries. If this works as advertized, and I'm hoping it will, I will be very happy with this. On the back is a ruler that clearly says "not to scale". If they can't get that right how are we to trust anything else about it? As they say, the proof is in the pudding. If this turns out to be inaccurate, I will revisit this review and update it.The 5 star rating is sort of wishful thinking. I don't know for sure it works yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Worked very well
Before you buy this you have to understand how it works or you are going to be pretty unhappy. I'm sure you can find a Youtube video about it but really its a no brainer for hunting. It's plastic coated so you don't have to worry about rain, dew or sweat. I just tuck it in my pocket and when I go out to the food plot I like to estimate ranges to make sure I can use it pretty fast.

Good quality
This looks like a good quality slide ruller calculator for shooting both MOA and MIL. It can estimate distance via estimating the height of the target and how MOA/MILs the height of the target. However this requires a person to understand what they are shooting at to get a good estimate, especially when hunting. It is light weight, well protected in plastic to prevent scratching. You have to remove the plastic layer, but I am just going to leave it on.
