12V Mini Piezo Siren Alarm Car House Boat Loud 110Db

Other reviews mislead me in to buying this for a van alarm I made. 'Melt your face off' & 'don't be in the same room' etc.. well there must be something wrong with the one I received then! It works fine on 12 volts and sounds like a siren, but I could comfortably sit right infront of it without the need to even put my fingers in my ears. Infact when I showed it to a friend who opened my van door and set it off, he couldn't stop laughing at it. I ordered some other types of siren and eventually found some that are so much louder for an alarm. This would be fine for a small electronics project, but no way would I consider it a loud siren. I wanted something inside the van to make it uncomfortable to enter, this sounds more like that 'left the telephone receiver off the hook' warning tone!

Bought this to add to my electric bike, used a 36v to 12v converter to drive it. Tired of people ignoring my tinkle bell. Works really well, definitely loud enough to get peoples' attention when they ignore my more gentle reminder. Arrived quickly.Looks well made and no concerns about its quality.

I feed lots of small birds in my garden but rooks keep taking all the seed . This alarm works like magic. I have it in the tree the rooks perch in & switch it from my kitchen. good volume, good price, good delivery. you won,t buy better. I had to replace the 1st one because it had lost some of its volume.I was really surprised it lasted as long as it did because it was in the open & exposed to the hard south/ westerly winds & rain that we get on the coast of north cornwall. Don,t look else where, you won,t buy better for the price.

Products build quality very good . as for using it a car DONT bother, you need to put it on your roof to do any good. Then watch it get stolen. Lol it's not very loud unless it's 2 foot away...( unless they sent me the version for people with sensitive hearing ) haha None the less the product is very good just No good in a car !

I was a bit worried because my garage alarm system is 5volts. I made enquiries and was assured by other buyers it works fine. So i'm well pleased. Roy Bryant

Very small and neat, easy to conceal, for instance under the eves of a building. Also easy to fit into an alarm box and quite noisy. Can be used as an extension sounder in many different alarm systems. Can be fun in the car (not recommended). The white reflects away some of the heat if located in the sunlight. I have one open to the weather and in direct sunlight which is still working perfectly after four years exposed to the elements.

THE PRODUCT SIZE IS MISLEADING. THERE ARE IDENTICAL SIRENS ON EBAY WHICH ARE A LOT LARGER, OVER TWICE THE SIZE OF THIS SIREN FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICE. ..THE SUPPLIER SHOULD STATE THE SIZE IN MILLIMETRES AS THE SIREN IS SO SMALL. DO NOT BUY IT UNLESS YOU KNOW THE SIZE.

For the price, you can't complain. It's very shrill, so you'll be able to hear it going off a few rooms away. However, I have noticed some blank glue grunge coming out the back where the wires go in. It doesn't affect performance at all, it's just a little bit grim if you touch it.
