So awesome! Love these!
I am obsessed with these! I usually get the angel hair or spaghetti kind.. and I end up cutting them up to make them easier to scoop. But the rice style is perfect! I can get a good mix of noodle and everything else with the rice noodles. They’re VERY low calorie which is nice because regular pasta is so high in calories. Highly recommend dry frying to remove some of the moisture and then using them in whatever you see fit! :)

When you want texture and not carbs
I have tried different low carb options for a rice replacement. This is my go-to option. It doesn't have flavor, which is a plus since most of the time the rice alternatives bring a flavor to the dish that I don't' want. It has good texture, although a bit more gummy than rice, it is the best non-carb alternative I have found so far.The biggest thing is that I will put it in a pot on the stove ahead of time to get some additional water out of it because when mixed into hot food it releases water. Without any prepping this can be too much liquid.I am also planning on trying a method where I add it into the food earlier and leverage some of the liquid in the dish, just not sure how well it will hold up.If you are looking for a non-carb alternative to rice, I think this would definitely be worth a try, it's my favorite so far

Great taste
So far the closest substitute for overall taste and texture. It's pricey, only one serving but I enjoyed it

BLECH!!
Believe the hype. This Sherataki stuff IS as bad as its reputation that precedes it. Slimy and rubbery, it melts into a gelatinous runny mess as soon as anything warm gets put on top of it.It also really does smell like opening a body bag when you open the package. I wouldn’t give this to hogs or goats to eat.

Unusual texture
This is good if you are looking for something with no calories, but it's texture is not what I like in food. Kind of rubbery. But...it served it's purpose for when I needed it.

Zero points for weight watchers, but is it worth it?
This is the first time I’ve tried shirataki rice. However, I have tried Konjac noodles before, and this is very similar to that… just in rice form. This set comes with 6 bags inside a box. The shirataki rice are all individually sealed in water inside the bags.First off…these are not ready to eat. You will have to heat these up. The directions say to rinse these briefly then microwave for 60 seconds. For best results they also suggest cooking these in a heated pan to dry for 5 minutes.Since I have had these before I knew that I needed to rinse these thoroughly. I rinsed these several times, and soaked them in water because it has a very off putting smell to it….. This helped a bit, but the smell still lingered. I then heated them in the microwave and transferred them to a skillet with no oil to dry them out….as suggested.I decided to eat the rice plain at first. The rice has a translucent texture to it. It’s a little chewier than your typical rice. It still had an off putting smell to it even after drying them out a bit. I would typically add garlic, salt and tomatoes to this, so it would mask that lingering smell. However, is it really worth it to eat something that you need to hide the flavor of?Overall, I’m being generous and rating this 4 stars because I did like the companies branding and packaging. I knew what I was in for with this, but was hoping this would be different. The smell is a little off putting, even after soaking. However, the nice part is these are 0 points on weight watchers, so I’ll be trying to find a better way to prepare these next time.I’ve included a few pictures. Thanks for indicating if you’ve found my comments and photos helpful.

Parece arroz
