Asics Men's Gel-Venture 9 Running Shoes

The ASICS Men's Gel-Venture 9 Running Shoes are an absolute win for anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable pair of running shoes. I have wide feet with a high instep. Regular shoes are either tight on me or do not fit right, but the X-Wide size that ASICS offers is a godsend, and I just love the comfort and performance running shoe; It fits me perfectly and the variety of different colors make each purchase even better. My current purchase was a Black with White and hot Lime Green trim Gel Venture 9 running shoe. Sometimes I buy two different color pairs for different days and events/venues. I walk routinely every day if I can, but I simply use it for everything: at work, grocery shopping, exercise, casual… it’s starting to become my everything footwear (except for sleep). I recall the first time I came across an X-Wide Gel Venture 5 years ago at Ross Dress For Less, and found it so good I repurchased the shoe on Amazon because Ross gets their selection at random or not at all. At Amazon you get to what you order and these always fit right (for whatever reason) so I never needed to do a return (yet). Come to think of it, I have only purchased and worn ASICS Gel Venture iterations for the past several years (thank you Amazon). In conclusion, for this particular shoe model and brand, the extra wide options are accommodating in size and shape and fits me well. The ASICS Gel-Venture 9 shoes are the best at performance and comfort for the price point offered and I plan to continue to purchase the next numbers in the line for years to come. May this shoe line be long lived (because I would like to continue to have good shoes at a fair price).

This is my 4th or 5th pair of Ventures. What I love: 1. They have wide sizes. 2. they do not come unglued. 3. all kinds of color ways. 4. affordable. = 5 Stars I use these daily for running. Having wide feet, finding a good sneaker is not easy. this is what attracted me to Asics. Since then I realized all the other things that makes these a great shoe. I've had many shoes that the soles separate...they literally come unglued. It is always at the most inopportune time. I haven't had any of these come unglued. The tread wears out long before the glue does. There are multiple colorways, so you can find a pair that fits your likes. They are a great value. Especially with running/tennis shoes/sneakers. They are going to get thrashed, so when they do it doesn't break the bank. I have high arches, so foot pain has never been a big problem. For me these are comfortable. I think I get about 8 months out of these shoes. I put around 1-3 miles in these daily. I basically run them until the soles wear out or the traction gets slippery. Pun intended, your mileage may vary.

My podiatrist recommended ASICS Gel Venture 7’s to me about 18 months ago and I was very pleased with their comfort and arch support for my daily 3-4 mile walks. Since they were getting pretty worn, I ordered a pair of the Gel Venture 9’s as a replacement. The Graphite Grey/Faded Yellow color combo looks terrific IMO, and I was hoping they’d offer the same satisfaction as the Gel Venture 7’s. I noticed immediately that they had one less pair of eyelets and hoped they wouldn’t be missed. First impression in the house was a very stiff sole, so much so that the outsoles literally slapped the floor when walking. The first thing that came to mind were “clown shoes” as went FWAP, FWAP, FWAP over the hardwood floors. I tried bending them back and forth to make them a bit more limber, but they still THWACK like crazy, even after about 50 miles of walking. A greater concern is the seeming lack of arch support, compared to the Gel Venture 7’s, which translates into big toe pain for me. I’ve had to cut a few walks short, as a result. Since I can’t return them at this point I’ll keep them on hand as a backup and use them sparingly. I’ve already gone back to the 7’s as my go-to walking shoe. [Update]: The “slapping” I noted originally had nothing to do with the shoes - it was caused by peroneal nerve damage to my right foot, also known as foot drop. I still prefer the 7’s, but the 9’s have been very good and I’ve adjusted my rating accordingly. Now to find an ASO to minimize the condition. Tip: Try to avoid crossing your legs when sitting or in bed, as it can put pressure on the peroneal nerve.

ASICS have been my go-to for years. I usually need to wear black shoes to work. However, after a couple of ankle surgeries, I wear braces on both ankles. Finding extra wide footwear that fit the braces while being a comfortable fit overall is not an easy task. These shoes meet the need perfectly and I will purchase again when needed.

I'm a mover and I put serious abuse and miles on shoes. I'm on my feet all day carrying heavy boxes, furniture, and even pianos up and down stairs all day. So shoes last me a maximum of 3 months before I have to replace them. In the last 14 years I've tried every shoe under $70 and the Gel Venture has become my go to. Comfortable, durable, and not too ugly. They also provide a lot of traction so I don't slip while pushing or pulling heavy items on inclines and declines.

Ich trage diesen Schuh beim täglichen Walken auf wechsenden Untergründen wie Straße, Schotter und auch nassen Waldwegen. Seit vielen Jahren besitze ich Sportschuhe der Marke ASICS und weiß eben auch warum.. Dieser Schuh sitzt einwandfrei, bietet den notwendigen Halt und ist sehr bequem sowie gelenkschonend, dank seiner bewährten Gel Dämpfung. Er ist pflegeleicht und langlebig. Lediglich die Sohle war, im Neuzustand, auf nassem Asphalt, sehr rutschig. Das legte sich zum Glück nach ein paar Einsätzen. Auch nach hunderten, zurückgelegten Kilometern, erfüllt der Gel Venture meine Erwartungen, an einen Outdoor Walkingschuh, voll und ganz. Mein Tipp: Bitte unbedingt eine ganze Größe größer bestellen. Aktualisiert: Vor ein paar Tagen habe ich mir die aktuelle Version des Gel Venture zugelegt und bin auch mit der 10. Generation dieses Trailrunning Schuhs total zufrieden. Wie bereits beschrieben, trage ich den Schuh beim täglichen Walken bei jedem Wetter. Auch bei diesem Modell unbedingt eine Größe größer bestellen.

Se ven bonitos y de calidad, muy cómodos, punto a considerar son un poco anchos de la punta, lo cual es posiblemente bueno puesto que aumenta la comodidad tras el uso prolongado, pero tómalo en cuenta por si no te gusta el calzado un poco ancho
