My dog likes it
My dog was recently diagnosed with kidney disease. We had a hard time finding food she liked. So far she does like this and that is great. It’s not too fishy smelly like other options.

Picky old dog will eat it.
I have a 17 year old dog with renal disease. He is a picky eater in his old age. He will eat this, I mix it with Hills prescription kibble. His kidney numbers are stable. Package came with food completely frozen and quickly. I bang up the frozen bag with a rubber mallet to get chunks of food out in smaller portions so I don't have to thaw out all at once. I just put another bag around package and throw back in freezer.

Dog won't eat
Looks like healthy food but my dog smelled it and walked away. I tried the next day as well and she did the same thing. Very expensive food for my dog not to like.

What’s missing.
Great to have it all in one box with less packaging and plastic but I never saw the ice bags that the packaging slip claims it has in the box.

Great K/D Food
My old Miniature Pinscher/Pug mix has a severe allergy to chicken AND chickpea, which means she can't eat ANY of the K/D food any of the main pet stores sell. My vet picked out JustFoodForDogs and I'm grateful they exist. My baby girl clearly misses the taste of meat (K/D MUST be low-protein), but I heat her portion in the microwave, add a little topper of her old kibble, and she's good to go. She did go through a phase when I was transitioning her onto this food. At first, mixed with the old kibble, she LOVED the food. But she turned it down once her kibble was removed. With a little patience, I was able to find a preparation style that she loves. Now she's eating her food without issue and we're hoping this helps with her kidney disease. I'll continue to buy

5 stars for the food, but it arrived mostly thawed out, so minus 2 stars for this particular order
This second order, when the box arrived, the inside was soaked by the broken open cold pack, which was completely melted and most of the food packets had partially thawed. I immediately froze most of them. Hoping they will not make my dog sick.

My dog ate some of it for 2 days and then wouldn’t eat it. She ate the other food in the dish instead.
