Lots of Asian overacting and subtitles that don't stay on long enough to follow the plot. Plenty of people screaming there heads of though, which is understandable if a bloody great wave is bearing down on you. However, the CGI is stunning and definitely worth another watch.

I started watching this movie and realised that Koreans are good at a mixture of styles as I am a fan of the horror category also.It may not be to everyones taste and after watching alot of US SGI you expect more..... But the film was funny in places 'but a little slow on the build up' of the wave that strikes. Some people may dislike this type of film but I found it humourous , sentimental and the final disaster being worth the wait. The final wave scenes were very gripping, some fantastic scenes and the characters likeable. Would recommend this movie to anyone who likes a good disaster flick and recommend 'Aftershock' also, something the Americans could learn from.

If I realised this dvd had subtitles I would not have bought it as I couldn't understand what they were saying half the time as only a few words came up on my tv screen

A great Korean subtitled movie. I never realized it was a box office hit. I have seen a lot of Korean movies recently that have impressed me- The Tower, The Wailing and Train to Busan to name a few- and this one just adds to the mix. With great action and superb special effects this movie is a real blast. It does take a while for all of the action to start but it builds up and you get to know the characters. And when it does it is great. The subtitles can get a bit fast sometimes but it is not at any important bits and I forgot that I was reading them after a while.Is it worth the money?If you can get through the subtitles then it is a great disaster movie. It has action, romance, good special effects and some real heroic scenes that really brought a tear to my eye. The special feature is a trailer.

This dvd is a must see, being a Korean film you get all action, sadness, humore all rolled into one, a classic.

It was quite good, but i didn't realise that is would be subtitles (and it bearly gave time to read them properly!), so the experience could have been better, as spending time reading the script isn't much fun expecially when it revolves around petty relationship arguements to build up the plots etc! I skipped to the end after about half an hour and got to the point!

was disapointed to find this film was sub titles, i am dislecsic so will no bother waching it,it all gets to confusing.will look more in to a film before i buy it next time

Liked this movie very much, quite comical at times as well.

Man kann diesen Film in Europa auf DVD Playern nicht gucken, die Region stimmt nicht, sehr ärgerlich, weiß nicht warum man das auf einer deutschen Webseite verkauft, Frechheit!

If you like comedy, and don't try to take this to be serious, I recommend it. It is about a "Tidal Wave" that devastates a city. DO NOT watch this with the English audio. Keep the Korean track on and read the English subtitles. The voice over is terrible. In fact it is absolutely terrible. It will ruin the movie. After you watched it with the subtitles on go a head and turn on the English audio and have yourself a laugh at how bad the voice acting is. You will get one or two chuckles then you will start to wonder where in the hell did they find these people? A nicely filmed movie, with good character development, drama, and comedy. Nice job to the producer.
