This is the third unit we have purchased from Amazon. Over the last two years. They work fantastic and have lasted much longer longer than expected through a lot of abuse.We bought one for ourselves originally and liked it so much we bought one for our 90-year-old mother. Then we bought another for an elderly friend as a gift they also love them

Bought this for my 95 year old mothers birthday..arrived in time and assembly was easy..mom seems to like it so far..she going faster and longer.

I broke my leg last spring and bought this to help my physical therapy and it really has. Super easy to assemble, works great. Definitely recommend.

The product is nice and lightweight which makes it easier for an elderly person to move, but the tension knob doesn't seem to do anything. That is the reason for the lower rating. I mean, what's the point if the tension doesn't work?

My husband asked me to tell you the following. Two higher priced models were recommended to us, but my husband chose to go with a lesser priced one. You get what you pay for. We both used the pedal exerciser while sitting on the couch. He used it about 15 mins each day and I used it for several sessions to equal an hour. We DID NOT ever use the tension. We were trying to get used to it.On day 8, the digital device changed on its own to metric instead of standard. When I took the little device out of the unit to check it I was shocked to see the tension webbing on wheel was completely disintegrated and separated. See photos. We could still use the pedal exerciser, but wanted the tension.Then the digital device would no longer work. Battery was good, and the zeros showed up on screen, but would not change in any field.We had called Amazon. They replaced it in two days, because my husband really needed to use it for health reasons. They sent a return label and we have packed it up to send out tomorrow.The good thing is that we do have the two year warranty which is useful for this 2nd unit, as well.But, we feel we would go for a better, and higher priced unit whenever we get thru this one.We just received the 2nd one today and have used it as usual. We shall see if it lasts any longer.Three downsides to this Icedeer Pedal Exerciser are--1. ...that it will "walk", even with the grip mat that comes with it, therefore it is best to wrap the other webbing that comes in package around foot closest to you and hold it close to the place you are sitting.2. You MUST wear shoes to use it, and make sure they are not too thick to fit in stirrups. The stirrups have to stay on the pedals, because pedals will spin without the stirrups.3. The heels of a larger size shoe will hit the front foot of unit if unit is not close to where you are sitting.

I got this cheaper version to see if I would use it and what sort of features I needed. The digital readout thingy never worked. The tension knob does not work properly. The pedals are uncomfortable and I will replace them with actual bike pedals. Later, I will spend more money and get what I need.
