Much improved over the previous generation, love that it stands on its own
I've tried a few soft bottles because there's a lot of appeal for camping and traveling - lightweight and doesn't take a lot of space, and sometimes I don't want to deal a hydration bladder. They've all had issues - nalgene's would fall over due to the large wide mouth cap, platypus's were impossible to dry, and so on.Found an older model of the hydrapak flux that I loved for camping and traveling - super easy to pack, came in at least 32 oz, stood up on it's own, and was easier to clean and dry. Didn't super love the twist cap as it didn't release air so it would eventually flop over as you drank, and the mouthpiece was exposed. After the wife made me carry her double walled bottle during skiing, I bought her bottle, and I feel it's been improved in every way. It's wider so there's a more stable base, they added a flip cap, and now when you untwist, it lets air escape so the bottle will expand back to it's normal shape. They added clear plastic on the top so it's easier to see how much liquid is left, and the cap prevents leakage while still in the open twisted position. The loop is longer which makes it easier to roll up as in the pictures, but it's still kind of a pain, so I rarely do it. I'm undecided whether to just steal my wife's bottle, or buy a second one for myself. I still use hard bottles for sizes about 32 oz as I'm unsure of the sturdiness of the larger sizes, but this has become my go to whenever I want to take some water out of the house.

The best collapsible water bottle I've tried
I've never written an Amazon review but felt compelled to do so after buying many different types of collapsible water bottles at once. This is my favorite. It has some structure but also collapses. It's pleasant and fun to drink out of. It does have a bit of a rubbery/plastic-y taste that might bother some people -- personally, I don't mind it at all. Durable materials. Recommended.

Good Backpacking bottles
Lightweight, collapsible bottles. I just used them on a 3 day backpack trip and really liked how the 46mm mouth adapts to my BeFree filter. This system made water management much easier. Two minor issues to be aware of… rinse multiple times before use to reduce nasty plastic taste, which is not a concern with Nalgene bottles. Secondly, because they are collapsible, they have a tendency to tip over especially when empty and your hands are being used to fill them from a water filter.

Would buy again
Bought this for my trip to the UK. I’m a big water drinker and after security at the airport I was able to fill it at a water station. I had a mini carabiner that I attached and hooked it to my purse. I had water available every time I wanted it. Had a great trip. Rolled it up in between fill ups. Worked really slick. Would have been nice if it had its own carabiner for the price so I would advise getting one so it’s even easier to take with. Definitely recommend.

Best Travel Water Bottle
I freaking LOVE this water bottle. It holds a great quantity of water, is perfect for traveling (size shrinks as you drink it; flexible), and the quality has been top notch thus far. Highly recommend for everyday use and traveling. The material also is strong enough to stand upright when it's mostly drank (so it doesn't tip over or list) .

Decent bottle with downsides
I hoped this bottle would be a more durable alternative to other packable bottles I’ve had, and while it is durable and packable, it has some significant downsides. It took weeks of use and washing to get it to a place where the water didn’t taste like silicone even just minutes after filling it. It still has a faint taste now but has gone down a lot, so I’m hopeful it will go away eventually. The seal is so tight on the top (great for preventing spills whether the top is open or not) that you have to squeeze it really hard to get water out and the bottle does not fill with air again after use. The only way to get the bottle to retain its shape is to open it fully again which is cumbersome to do and spill-prone.

Tastes like plastic
Great style bottle. Bought two different kinds for a 3 week trip to Europe and all I could taste is plastic rubber water after washing and soaking in soap.not great and it won’t go away. And now I’m way passed return period to do anything and dissatisfied with the money spent I could’ve gotten something else.

My go to travel bottle
I travel a lot for work and this has becomemy go to bottle. Fits a large bottle of water which is just the right amount for me on a plane. Sturdy enough to fill up in at an airport water station, but flexible enough to fit in my backpack side sleeve or more importantly the seat back pocket in the seat ahead of me. Absolutely no leaks so far which is really due to the valve that you drink out of. Super solid though sometimes harder to open the cap which covers the part that your mouth touches. Love that it rolls up small when empty and the handle is quite durable. I wish the rolled up bottle more easily tucked into the handle. It does fit the filter they sell but won’t roll up as easily with it in the bottle.
