Excellent and economical, this lubricant has many uses and helped restore an old dresser.
This is an excellent wood lubricant that saved an old dresser. Applied with a brush and rag on the wooden drawer guides and rails, it restored the sliding to like new. It has no smell and appears to be absorbed into the wood. Again, I used a small brush, but a sturdy cotton or foam applicator would do just a well (not a finger as you might get a splinter!) I have also used it as a screw lubricant into wood. It has many purposes! It is a large container, so share it with others in your home or office!

SO EASY TO USE! PERFECT FOR OLD, STICKY, TOUGH WOODEN DRAWERS!!!
The media could not be loaded. My apartment is in an old house and all of the wooden drawers are from early 1900's. Was sick of breaking nails opening drawers (they stick, my grip rips off the handle and breaks my nails), so looked around caranuba wax, when I came across this Wood Lubricant. You need less than you think! A little goes a LONG WAY (discovered that up front).Cloth application is recommended to avoid spliters, I had success with paper towels. I wasn't sure how the Lube would effect my cloths so I wasn't ready to throw any away if I didn't need to.I have MANY drawers to lubricate and when ordering, I didn't think this would be enough but holy geez. I can do all of my drawers about 5x over, easily!Highly recommend!

Amazingly effective - however no SDS info, keep away from lacquer
This material is scarily effective as a wood lubricant. Stuck drawers that barely open? This stuff will make that old dresser feel like it has roller rails. Sliding closet doors that you need to put your weight behind to open? This stuff will have you now opening it with a finger. It's that good.THAT SAID.....its a bit worrisome that there are no ingredients listed and no easy way to locate an MSDS/SDS sheet. Yeah, call me a cynic but the last time I found an old jar of something that worked this well, it had ingredients that aren't allowed in most of today's products (throw a dart in the middle of the periodic table and you'll know what I'm talking about). Not trying to disparage this stuff, because its great. But, I simply can't figure out what's in it - which is why I would really like an SDS to reassure myself about its general safety. So, I'd advise using the smallest amount reasonably needed to accomplish the job, use a Q-tip and/or gloves to apply, and wash your hands really well afterwards. Oh, and keep it the heck away from lacquered pieces. In my experience, it works flawlessly if used on latex painted surfaces, bare wood, or even metal - but it seemed to dissolve Asian-style lacquer when I applied it to a jewelry chest.

Worked OK but not slippery enough.
I used it on a hard to open drawer. It helped a little but I will have to apply more times to free up the drawer.

Easy to Apply, No More Squeaks
I used a worn-out fine art brush to apply this to drawer rails where wood-on-wood sliding would cause loud high pitched noise every time the drawer was used. This soaked into the raw wood and silenced that completely. I applied to both sides.I also applied some to the roller where the wood was rubbing against it, and it eliminated that squeaking, as well. Some reviews say this is a huge amount that will last forever, but I didn't find that to be the case. It was enough for this job, but I used 1/3rd of it on just a few old drawers. It really soaks into raw plywood and required multiple applications (2-3) to stop the unpleasant noise. Why didn't I do this years ago?

Stopped the sticking, noisy door
Worked much better than paraffin wax has previously. Much easier to apply too!I was worried that it would be too thin of a consistency to be helpful, but I was wrong! Months later and the door jamb is still opening and closing easily, but could probably use another coat to keep it silent. With the small amount that you use each time, this jar should still last a long time

Drawers glide again!
I have two wood dresser without slides. One is over 100 years old. The drawers were rubbing and hard to open. Applied this to all of them and now they glide again. Easy to apply and no strong smell.

It works great!
I have an all wood nightstand. The drawers were always a pain to deal with. I finally bought something to fix it and it worked like a charm. I don’t have to fight with my drawers anymore. And there’s plenty left for the future.
