Fastcap PMS-12 12-Foot Metric/Standard Measuring Tape, Yellow

This is the third FastCap for me, not because they don't last, I love them that much that I have put them in all my tool carriers for convenience. The small "whiteboard" on the side, the inbuilt pencil sharpener, and the pocket clip that doesn't slice into your pocket edge are all winning features for me. Never going back to a normal, run of the mill tape measure again.

TBH, sad little me was actually quite excited to buy this as it has a pencil sharpener built int which is frankly genius! However the tape is not the best to use, ultimately I still prefer to use my Stanley Fatman and the pencil sharpener is pretty poor quality akin to a cheap plastic one you'd pick up for 50p, I do use it as a pencil sharpener but I don't see it lasting.

The actual tape on these is great, really easy to read and very clearly maked. The overall product is cheap feeling though with a light and flimsy housing, poor quality lock off, plus the tiny circular whiteboard and pencil sharpener are gimmicky and really add nothing to it. Would love to see the same tape in a better quality housing such as you'd get with a Stanley.

Received this today. Been using it on a project. Extended it past 6 foot now the tape will not retract. Very poorly made anyway utterly rubbish. Do not buy this item spend a couple of pounds on something better built and that actually works. Had to give it one star otherwise could not submit this review. It’s not as good as that though

Saw this brand on Youtube and decided to give it a go. I chose the metric and imperial measure and am very pleased. Be aware, mine was shipped form the states so took a few weeks for delivery.

Very nice quality

Auto lock is useless, but the scale metric / standard is really good for those of us who work in metric and standard measurements. I have requested a return and purchased the manual lock version. I have the metric and standard versions as separate tapes but times it is useful to have a combination particularly for check dimensions. you can decide if it was built to metric or imperial system.

I am so glad I finally got a metric tape. So much easier to use but it’s nice to also have both options on one tape. Very accurate and the locking system is clever. There is a little button on the bottom that lets you pinch the tape in place for one handed measuring. I also appreciate the fact that I can write down measurements on the side and then easily erase them. Overall it is a big improvement over my other tapes.

Me llegó en su estuche de plástico y es perfecto para mis necesidades, yo manejo medidas milímetricas y standard, aunque no es difícil hacer la conversión de cm a mm, es más práctico ya convertido en mm. Se siente de buena calidad, trae un sacapuntas incorporado en la parte inferior y los números son claros, las pulgadas vienen divididas en diesiseisavos (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc) y en milímetros. La punta no es magnética pero por el precio creo que está bien. Parece que se puede escribir en la parte blanca y su clip se ajusta manualmente presionándolo. Estoy satisfecho con mi compra.
