Great
Amazing value for money!! Love dettol and love their bar soaps. Leaves skin squeaky clean, has a lovely lemony scent and is great quality thick lather. I would say be careful to use everyday if you have dry skin. Typical in size and lasts me about 2months either everyday use

Reliable Daily Cleanliness with Trusted Germ Protection — A Must-Have Soap!
I’ve been using Dettol Original Antibacterial Hand Soap Bar 2 x 100g daily and honestly, it’s become one of those small products that makes a big difference in everyday hygiene. From the moment you unwrap it, that classic Dettol scent brings a reassuring fresh feeling — it’s not overpowering, just clean and familiar. This bar soap feels solid and long-lasting, and a little goes a surprisingly long way when you lather it up. It cleans deeply and gives that “just washed” sensation without leaving skin feeling greasy or weird. I’ve used it on hands, body, and even in the shower — and my skin stays refreshed and hygienic all day. What stood out to me most is that it’s not just regular soap — it’s antibacterial and dermatologically tested, so it helps remove unseen bacteria while still being gentle thanks to added moisturisers. I’ve found it great after workouts or outdoor days when you really want to feel clean, not just rinsed. The scent is classic Dettol — fresh, clean, and nostalgic — and even though it’s antibacterial, it doesn’t dry my skin like some harsher soaps can. That balanced formula makes it perfect for everyday use by the whole family. Who this is great for: ✔ People wanting dependable germ-fighting soap ✔ Daily hygiene routines ✔ Those who like a lasting, refreshing clean Who might prefer something else: • If you prefer super soft, creamy body wash lather • If you have very sensitive skin (use with moisturiser) Overall, I’m impressed — this gives me confidence that what I’m using actually cleans and feels good doing it. Would absolutely repurchase and recommend! 👌

Trusted Germ-Fighter with a Clean, No-Nonsense Feel
I keep coming back to this: the Dettol Antibacterial Soap Bar in its simple, utilitarian multipack. It’s not luxurious. It’s not scented like a pine forest or laced with activated charcoal. But when it comes to hygienic effectiveness, dependable skin tolerance, and a crisp, fresh post-shower feeling, few soaps come close. Texture and Skin Feel The soap has a firm consistency, meaning it doesn’t melt into mush like glycerin-heavy bars. It lathers well but not excessively—enough to get full-body coverage with a rich, creamy foam. The finish on the skin is squeaky-clean but not drying, especially on combination or oily skin. I have fairly resilient skin myself, but I’ve also had no negative reactions even during winter when my arms and legs get slightly drier. That said, for users with sensitive or eczema-prone skin, the inclusion of sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), parfum, and limonene may be cause for caution. While the formula is dermatologically tested and does include moisturising agents like glycerin and paraffinum liquidum (mineral oil), some users may experience tightness or irritation with daily use. I’d advise patch testing if your skin is reactive or hypersensitive. Scent and Cleanliness The "Original" scent is classic Dettol—medicinal, clean, and slightly citrusy with a soapy powder finish. It’s subtle enough not to clash with cologne or aftershave, but leaves a very faint freshness on the skin. I find it ideal after sweaty gym sessions, long hikes, or just general summer use when odour control matters most. The scent is more about hygiene than indulgence, but that’s exactly why I trust it. It’s excellent on the hands, especially after outdoor work or cleaning tasks. It cuts through oil, dirt, and even mild odours like onion or paint, leaving hands feeling genuinely sanitised—something liquid handwashes rarely achieve. I’ve also used it as a post-shaving cleanser on the body with no clogging or residue. Performance and Germ Protection Let’s get to what makes this bar a staple: its antibacterial performance. Dettol claims it kills 99.99% of germs, and while that’s hard to verify without a microscope, the sense of hygiene it provides is immediate. When I’ve had cuts, scrapes, or insect bites, this is the soap I instinctively reach for—not only for cleansing the area but to reduce the risk of infection. It leaves skin noticeably refreshed and dry (in the good sense—no greasy residue), and I’ve never had breakouts or body acne when using it consistently on shoulders, back or legs. The bar also holds up extremely well in the shower. I’ve had bars last over two weeks with daily full-body use. It doesn’t warp or split and dries quickly on a proper soap dish. A quick note: avoid letting it sit in a puddle—while firm, it will erode faster in constant moisture. Warnings and Considerations While this soap is marketed as suitable for all skin types, the ingredients list reads like a chemical catalogue. Sodium Palmate and Palm Kernelate are fine for cleansing, but ingredients like Methylchloroisothiazolinone and Methylisothiazolinone are known irritants in leave-on products for sensitive users. They’re safe in rinse-off formats, but again, those with skin conditions should check with a dermatologist or opt for gentler alternatives. Also worth noting: this is not an exfoliating or conditioning bar. If you expect softness, silkiness, or that spa-like cushiony feel, this is not the soap for you. It’s about function first, comfort second. The Dettol Antibacterial Soap Bar has several strengths. It effectively kills 99.99% of germs, making it ideal for situations where hygiene is crucial. The scent is clean and classic without being overpowering, and the bar itself is durable, maintaining its shape and texture over time. It’s particularly well-suited for post-workout showers or use in hot climates. For those with oily or acne-prone skin, it performs very well, as it doesn’t clog pores or leave any residue. It’s also dermatologically tested and includes moisturising agents to help protect the skin. However, there are some downsides. It can be too drying for individuals with very sensitive or dry skin. The formula includes known irritants such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and methylisothiazolinone, which may not be suitable for everyone. Additionally, the scent might not appeal to users who prefer fragrance-free or more luxurious-smelling products. Finally, it lacks premium skin-conditioning ingredients like shea butter or plant oils, which some users may expect in a daily-use soap. I always keep a multipack in reserve—not because I’m scared of germs, but because I know this bar works, every single time. Whether it’s post-gym, post-DIY, or even after handling raw meat, Dettol gives me that confidence of a real clean. It’s not fancy, but it is effective—and that’s why I’ll keep using it.

4/5 stars - effective, good-value antibacterial soap with minor dryness for some users
I buy this Dettol antibacterial soap primarily for everyday handwashing and post-gym showers, where I want something simple and effective rather than fragranced or cosmetic. The bars are firm, lather well, and give a clear sense of cleanliness after use. The original scent is familiar and clean without being overpowering, and the soap performs consistently whether used on hands or body. It is particularly useful after cooking, exercise, or general household tasks where hygiene matters more than indulgence. In regular use, it represents very good value for money and lasts reasonably well if kept on a draining soap dish. Many users, myself included, find it leaves the skin feeling clean without immediate tightness, although it can feel slightly drying with frequent use, especially for those with sensitive or very dry skin. This makes it better suited as a functional, hygiene-focused soap rather than a moisturising one. Overall, it is a reliable, no-nonsense product that does its job well and justifies its strong reputation.

Good soap. Probably not suited to pretentious types who say "cleanSing" instead of "cleaning."
My twin pack correctly had two 100g bars. Each in a card box and the pair as a whole wrapped in cellophane. First time I've used this soap. It washes hands squeaky clean, but after towelling my skin didn't feel dry. Just right for a thorough clean at the end of a working day. The bar shape seems designed so you lather with the convex side, then put it down on the concave side which effectively has feet to reduce mess and help dry the bar. At least that's how I used it intuitively. The scent is hard to describe. Maybe some pine needle with a hint of tea tree and an even smaller amount of citronella. Nice enough and not overpowering.

Dettol is a life saver. It's embarrassing to admit, but I've had lifelong issues with body odour. The sad thing about it is, you don't realise you have it unless someone tells you- and most people are too polite to tell you. It just has a very harmful effect on both your social and professional life. The problem of course wasn't that I didn;t shower- the problem would still show up just hours after I took what i thought was a thorough shower. fter much research, I found all body odour is caused by bacteria- kill the bacteria, kill the odour. Dettol soap kills bacteria dead, meaning I now have full confidence in how I smell. I even got a compliment from a date that I smell nice. I can now brush up against people with confidence. All the fancy soaps & gels in the world didn;t help. If you want to know you are REALLY clean, you need to know all your bodily bacteria is dead. This is now the only soap I use. Highly recommended.

Sapone fantastico! Veramente consigliato!

Since I’ve used this soap my armpits have lost its constant sweaty smell. I no longer use deodorant, just perfume on my clothes. I’ve noticed that using deodorant doesn’t help with body odour, so I just stopped using it.

Soap is different than regular ones, but they show pack of 4 but delivers only two, so disappointed about it.
