It's thick, a form fitting. I really love the stretch because it can also fit my hair without getting stretched out. It snaps right back.

If you want a thick and warm hat, then this is the one. I was looking for something thinner, but am not disappointed in the quality. Will likely have to go hand knitted for the kind I want.
