No. The wires have to be cut to the correct length before they are inserted into the connector. The crimper presses the pins (blades) into the wires. You don't have to strip the wires, but they do have to be cut to length. Not a difficult procedure. I have never seen any connectors as you have described.

Hi DavidI don't remember seeing an eyelet for the drain wire but I usually just loop this shield wire around one of the crimp ears. Then I crimp it together. I haven't seen a short yet on the 300 cables .Good Luck!

I think you are referring to a flat plastic sleeve that the individual wires go into before sliding into the crimp connector (called a load bar). No they do not come with any load bars. With a little practice you can put ends on just as reliably without load bars. Either way, just be sure to properly test the cable assembly.
