From Taps to Tunes: Neptune's Kick Pad Becomes a Daily Joy!
The Overview:I purchased the Baby Einstein Ocean Explorers Neptune's Kick & Explore Musical Kick Pad & Crib Toy with high hopes, given my baby's penchant for tapping on everything. Initially, it didn't capture his interest, but patience paid off.The Good:Interactive and Engaging: Once my baby got the hang of it, this toy became a daily playtime staple. It encourages interaction through both kicking and hand-tapping, promoting motor skill development.Musical and Visual Stimulation: The sounds and lights are captivating for my little one, offering both auditory and visual stimulation. The variety in music and ocean sounds keeps him entertained.Versatility: It can be used in the crib for kicking or on the floor for sitting and hand play, making it adaptable to different stages of mobility.Educational: The toy introduces baby to the ocean theme, which can be a fun way to start learning about different environments. The Not-So-Good:Slow Engagement: It took about a month of consistent demonstration before my baby showed real interest. This might not suit parents looking for an immediate hit.Volume Control: While the sounds are pleasant, there's no volume control, so it can be quite loud, especially for early morning play sessions.Overall:The Baby Einstein Neptune's Kick & Explore Musical Kick Pad has become a beloved part of our toy collection, though it did require some persistence at the start. If you're willing to invest time in showing your baby how to use it, this toy can grow with them, offering both fun and learning through play.Pros:Encourages physical activity and motor skill developmentOffers a range of sounds and lights for sensory stimulationVersatile for both kicking in the crib and hand play on the floorIntroduces themes of the ocean, sparking early learningCons:May not engage babies immediately, requiring patienceNo volume control, which could be loudConclusion:If you're looking for a toy that combines entertainment with developmental benefits and are prepared to demonstrate its use, the Neptune's Kick & Explore is a worthy addition to your baby's toy box. It's a testament to how some toys can grow with your child's interest and capabilities.

Music time for the baby.
My 4 month old grandson loves when we have 'music time' with this. The flashing colors definitely gets his attention, and I like that there are multiple modes here. We can use it as a 'piano' and get one note when a 'piano key' is touched (and it lights up), or we can touch the keys and it talks about colors and shapes. Or we can use it to have it play musical compositions. There are also different languages (English, French, Spanish) if you so choose. It's too early to tell how this might impact a baby's sense of music, but he does seem to enjoy it once a day.My one complaint is that the lowest note on the 'piano' doesn't 'fit'. It's flat, considering the other notes on the keyboard.

Baby loves it
Really nice toy- good sounds, not nerve wracking. And it’s very engaging for tummy time and kicking.

Kick kick kick!
My 4 month old LOVES this kick piano. I tied it onto his play gym with a cushion behind it (because it needs something with resistance behind it to keep it at an optimal position). He loves kicking it and we dance along to the songs. He tires himself out with all the kicking. Haven't used it without him laying down yet since he can't sit, but this will be great once he can.

Entertaining, but not exactly in the way I was hoping.
Was hoping the baby would learn cause and effect and also just enjoy hitting the thing, but the baby is too entertained by the lights on the top of the toy to actually play the notes. Maybe it would have been better to put the lights on the keys instead of on a separate place away from the keys.

Multi lingual
I love that this toy comes in English, French, and Spanish and I also love that it's a soft musical toy rather than hard plastic. I like the 3 different soind versions too

Great toy!
One of our son’s favorite toys! He plays with this every day. He uses it with his hands for tummy time; doesn’t use to kick with his feet which was why we originally bought it.
