Read carefully, solutions to ALL Review ERRORS LISTED, and how to avoid them.
Okay, it 'does' work. But there's something you need to know about the 'flaws'. Example, if you open the app and leave it on the screen that shows your profile/heart charge.. it won't work. You must ALWAYS EXIT THE APP FROM THE ACTUAL HEART BEAT LIBRARY WINDOW. Or it will drain your battery because it forces a connection to your heart.Second, waking it up isn't difficult as long as you do the above. Most issues you will encounter is because you closed the app on the wrong window. (Yes it does store the heart beat in the heart itself and doesn't need the app to function. But because that window FORCES the bluetooth activation to check your battery level it can't handle multi-functions. If this happens, you will have to leave your heart on the charger, (you will notice it will do the blue blinking light, and you will have to open the app while it's on that charger to toggle the bluetooth off mode by hitting profile, bond heart, then selecting library).Once this is done, your heart will once again act the way it's suppose to. That fix process is a little bit finicky, so just make sure you don't close the app on the bond heart battery level/profile window to avoid the fustrations. This is particular window will constantly ping your device and keep your heart awake, and make it so you can't feel anything because it enters a bluetooth mode. If the battery dies in that mode (because lets face it even low powered bluetooth modes will drain battery like crazy). You have to leave it on the charger until it's fully charged and 'green' glow before unpairing, opening the app repairing, toggling that window and going back to the library before closing. As a software/hardware tech, it doesn't take much to figure out the mechanics of how the bond heart works. Especially once you encounter the common errors people have faced - this is the solution to avoid those problems, and fix those problems without needing to return the necklace, because it's not broken.. chances are it died from nonstop trying to connect to bluetooth mode because of how you closed your app.So with that said, do i think it's worth it? Yes, would I like the 20$ extra I spent literally the day before it dropped to 86 -.- YES, Is it worth the 100$ this will depend on a few factors. Overall if it's just to store a loved one's heart beat.. no. If you use it for multiple things like LDR, and the above. Then that answer is def yes.80$ is more realistic given the above issues with how the heart can get locked into bluetooth mode and the headache it can cause when it does. Especially since I just posted a fix for everyone who has been eyeing this necklace but were worried about the negative reviews. But if that 20$ don't matter as much as the sentimental value does. I don't think it's something you will regret buying even at the 100$ price target.I love mine as I use it for both LDR and family, but I can't justify buying another even for family members at the given price that I wound up paying for it. The one I am keeping for myself, will give me access to the same things when they release a gen 2 with the program errors fixed and more core designs which they could use to 'beautify' the product. Which will be what i'm willing to wait for, before buying it for the rest of my family - that is unless something bad happens and one is needed for a loved one.Overall, I think every person should have just 1 if only for the recorded database. Then wait for second gen to work out the kinks, unless you don't mind the smaller hassles listed above to get it to work again. If your tech savy, and patient. It's worth having. A gift for an elder, or someone who might not pay attention to how they close the app. Maybe not so much unless you yourself set it up for them with their partner's heart beat just to avoid the risks listed above as most people will check battery level then close an app after setting the heart beat they want to feel.DO NOT DO THAT.TLDR**Make sure you ALWAYS close the app on the library and NOT the battery level screen for the heart. **If it's to late, your gonna have to read what i said above to fix it.Update: battery life is incredible, my boyfriend got one and now wears my heart. We are in a LDR and sharing heart beats has been such an amazing thing, especially for comfort. This item is literally priceless for what it offers. I absolutely adore it.

It works
I was hesitant in purchasing since there was only one good review, however, I took a leap of faith. I bought this for my daughter. Once charged, I went to pair and honestly at first I did have a a hard time pairing. However; instead of following the actual directions, when pairing, if you tap around the heart it did pair. Then once you record your heartbeat by using your index finger covering your camera on the phone (my phone is iPhone), you will see the recording in the Bond app. Then to feel your heartbeat that you recorded, do not follow the directions that asks you to hold the heart in your fingers, this didn't work, instead, place your thumb on top of the heart and your index finger along with your middle finger behind the heart on opposite side and press down, Wala you feel the recorded heartbeat. The box it comes with makes it easy to charge your necklace by feeding the cord (which came with the necklace), through the box and placing your necklace on charger. However; the charger does come out of box if you prefer. As another person pointed out, it would be a much nicer necklace with a better quality chain, so I may purchase a different chain to look more elegant then the chain that the necklace came with.So far, I am very pleased with the purchase and time will tell if it holds a charge and keeps the recording. Either way, with the heartbeat recorded in the Bond app, at the very least. you will always have a visual of your loved ones heartbeat even if the necklace does not last.

Horrible product don't waste your money
Issues immediately. We followed the instructions: Charged over night until heart indicator light was solid green. Paired with iPhone 10 xr but it was so hard to wake the heart that you missed pairing and had to start over.Once paired we followed the wake process and this thing would not wake up at all. You practically have to hit it to get to come awake. We thought it needed a heart beat first so we followed the process and linked one to it. Still didn't work.As soon as we could get the heart to wake up it would turn off (red light indicator). I contacted customer support but they said the hearts sometimes break and just need to replace it. It took 2 days for that response. Once I told them I bought on Amazon they stopped talking to me. No choice but to return. I would stay away from this item. I took a chance because I thought this was a great idea for Valentine's day and it was a disaster.

Comforting
It's hard to use at first but once you set it all up it's great! Really comforting.
