Awesome Stuff - A few things to be attentive of
This stuff was so awesome. I have brown hair and used the red manic panic color. It looked so pretty and even. I went to a costume party over the weekend and everyone loved my hair. They thought I actually dyed it! Lol. I see people saying it doesn't cover much, and I could see that if you're using it by itself. I hair 2 feet of hair, it reaches my butt. I bought 3 bottles because of suggestions from reviewers. I ended up only needing 1/2 a bottle of this stuff to cover all of my hair. I mixed it as 2 parts leave in conditioner and 1 part hair color. It worked great! I left my hair up still wet that night and the next day, oh my gosh, it was so red!! I styled it before the party that night and it looked so pretty! I washed my hair afterwards and my hair completely washed out the red, which is what I was mostly worried about. So my tips to you, instead of buying 2-3 bottles, just mix it with leave in conditioner or similar hair product. It goes a looong way. Also just a heads up, if you touch your hair, your fingers will be the hair color. So try not to touch it. I was messing with my hair all day at school and work before the party and it looked like I was eating Cheetos all day :P Good luck and have fun with this!

Colored hair gel, not just dye
First off, this is not just hair color - it's colored styling gel. Hence "Dye Hard." That's why there are so many reviewers complaining about their hair texture being "straw-like" after using this product. After reading some of the reviews detailing different methods of application, though, I purchased the Raven Black, figuring I could manage to make it suit my needs.I have very blonde hair, so it was important to me that the black would cover the blonde, but also wash out with shampoo. I applied the hair dye directly after a shower while my hair was still wet. It helped to stay in the shower, as I didn't have to worry so much about getting dye all over the place. Using gloves, I ran it through my hair root-to-tip, making sure to get all the way down to my scalp. Once I finished applying the black, I rinsed any excess dye off my skin and off the tub/shower area; this is very easy to do with just warm water. I then used a blow-dryer and combed through my hair, to try to ensure a soft, non-straw-like texture. This worked and didn't at the same time; combing through does remove any excess dye and give hair a softer texture, but it also pulled some of the black away from my hair, exposing some of the blonde and leaving my hair looking grey-ish. It did wash out completely with two rounds of shampoo, though, which was a relief.I gave this product 4 stars because I was pretty impressed with how well it did, even despite the fact that I was using it in a different way than it was intended. The end result was okay, but not exactly what I was looking for. If you have long/ish hair and are looking to dye it without that straw-like side effect, I'd suggest you use a different product - especially if your current hair color is vastly different than the temporary color you're going for (e.g. blonde to black -_- )

Good but could be better
This stuff was good but not as good as I had hoped. The tube was smaller than expected. I have really long hair (half way down my back) and thankfully I was able to dye all of my hair (for the most part). I had to use tiny bits of water and my hairbrush to make it spread. It took my four hours to do my whole head but it was worth it. However, it wasn't has vibrant as I would have liked, but it was still very pretty. My biggest issue with this hair dye is that it gets EVERYWHERE. I'm serious. After I put this stuff in my hair, it got on my shirt, my jacket, my pillows, my bed sheets, my socks, my boots, the floor, and my skin. I had to wash my hair 3 times to get it all out and after that I STILL have some in my hair, though not nearly as much as I had before thankfully.Overall, it was good, but could be better. I think it's a bit over priced at $9.31 for 1.6 oz but that's just me. It does wash out easy but not all of it might come out the first time depending on how much is used. And like I said it gets EVERYWHERE.I give this product a 3 out of 5 stars

Great solution for temporary color
After many years as a manic panic dye hard, I’d gotten a little tired of the process. Then I discovered these great opaque colored gels that give me the brightness of manic panic without the mess or commitment. I still bleach my short hair with manic panic flash lightning every six to eight weeks to get a brighter color, but this product covers my medium brown (and increasingly gray) hair well too. I currently use the red, orange, blue and silver. All work great, but the red takes a little more practice because it is a little more transparent and seems to stain my skin a bit. If you can’t keep your hands off your hair, be prepared to be coveeed in glitter-like flakes if you use the metallics. Don’t forget to wash them out before bed or you’ll likely wake up looking like a 70s glam rocker after a hard night.

Great for temporary color
Loved this! Swear by manic panic for fun colors, so decided to try this for a Halloween costume. It was exactly what we needed. My son has blonde hair and I was afraid it get stuck green, washed right out!!!

Nope. (at least not white color and not for longer hair)
Well, maybe the other colors work? After reading the great reviews here, I decided to skip spray dyes and purchased this tube of white color for my 5th grader's Robert Livingston's hair, instead. Good thing my kid has light hair.Looks and feels like craft paint, you can buy at craft stores for under 2 bucks (5x more here).Used the whole tube. Would not (will not) buy again.(Dries sticky, hard and unmanageable, barely covers anything).*oh and when people tell you to blow dry and comb - might work with short hair, but don't bother with long hair -feels the same, as after trying to comb long hair with dried gel in it- not worth it.

Worked OK
I have long dark hair and it didn't color it as well as I wanted it to. I still have to use spray coloring as well. If I would've paid attention to the bottle size I would've bought 2 instead of just the one. It makes your hair stiff but it did come out very easy and didn't dye my skin or anything.
