Netac ZX10 2TB Extreme 2TB Portable NVMe SSD, USB-C, up to 1050MB/s Read Black Solid State Hard Drive

My choice of backup software has a really useful function: it can take a backup and mount it as a read-only drive. My laptop needed a reset. And I knew I was going to have to reinstall and reconfigure all my software, and potentially restore all my documents too. Also, the reinstall and reconfigure process is Not Quick, so I wanted to be able to carry the backup device around with me so if I suddenly realised I hadn't got round to reinstalling some item of suddenly needed software, I'd be able to do it AND probably find all its settings and other gubbins on the backup (%programdata% and %appdata%) and speed things up a bit. This device was a bit of a punt. Not a brand I have any prior experience of, but the reviews were generally pretty good so I went for it. Good price too, for 2Tb. (Full disclosure, I'd considered a Sandisk Extreme Pro 2Tb device first, but the price was a tad eye-watering for my budget.) Lots of others here have posted technical data and speed tests so I won't add to those, but I'd say that the device is fast enough for my needs, has a reassuring feeling of solidity and so far, a month or so after purchase, I'd say that I've had no regrets and that I think in terms of bang for the buck, it's pretty good value. I would only add that the little wallet it comes with is a perfect fit for the drive but I'd have preferred (and will probably get around to buying) a case large enough for it and its USB-C cable.

Good, no issues after 2 years of moderate use. Haven't carefully checked the speed vs claims, but it's a well built ssd with usb-c, it's more than fast enough for regular usage. Especially if you're used to ols school physical hard drives for external storage. The is difference is night and day.

Fast read/ write times, surprising good value for the price. The SSD and case does get warm, but it allows you to run installed games & application straight of the SSD, should you want to use it an an external drive on your PC or Laptop. Due to the write speed it great for backup Pictures, Music or video libraries and other large data files. Please note: as some point a SSD will fail sooner than a HDD, just remembering this if you are using it for backup purposes.

I bought this SSD because I needed to do some serious disk backup before reinstalling a Linux system. I performed a dd copy of the original disk before nuking the original system. The disk read and write speeds were good, although the USB port on my system wasn't quite capable of the speeds advertised for the disk. The copy went well and I confirmed that I could mount each of the partitions afterwards and access the files. Once the system was reinstalled, I used the disk to restore some files. Things went well for several hours. Then I started getting I/O and file system corruption errors. Fortunately I had a prior backup on the network and was able to continue the restore from there, but at a significantly slower pace. In the end, the Netac disk has proved to be a waste of money. I have tried to repartition and reformat but it just throws errors all the time now. It will probably find its way to the bin... £60 wasted. I don't know if I just got a dud disk, but there doesn't seem to be any way for me to discuss this with the seller. So, I am disappointed. Would not recommend this disk.

If this was a purely performance based review, it's a easy 5 stars. I bought the 1TB version to backup my phone, and it was pretty quick and copied nearly 900GB of pics and huge videos over. But my god, I'm surprised it wasn't glowing. No joke it got so hot I was getting pretty worried for awhile, but to it's credit it just kept on going! Looks good, comes with 2 USB cables and a handy pouch. If you can get it on sale it's a great buy. Just be warned about the heat it generates!

Got for my new laptop. Fastest transfer has been 500 mb/sec . Tried other pc and even slower. However good price and small and neat

I bought this to use as time machine for my mac, much nicer than my old HDD this is much faster, full back up was done (370gb) in no time at all using the supplied type C to C cable The ssd got slightly warm during this but has not got hot as some users were finding This is the 1TB drive which I have partioned into 700gb and 300 which was easy to do and takes up no room on my desk so far have been very pleased with this and great value for money.

Calidad/precio muy buena, buena velocidad y buenos acabados de la caja externa. Dependiendo del uso se calienta bastante aunque de momento no ha sobrepasado los 62º (uso con VirtualBox y VMWare). Los cables USB son un poco cortos pero hacen su función correctamente. (USB-C/USB-C y USB-A/USB-C) A veces da problemas de extracción de disco (Windows 11) y hay que extraerlo "a lo bruto". Recomiendo su compra por el precio/velocidad/tamaño del almacenamiento.

Die meisten "SUPER FAST" SSDs schaffen die ersten Sekunden, bzw 2-4GB eine Übertragungsrate von 2000MB/s und brechen dann ein auf teilweise lächerliche 100MB/s dann. Die hier hält sich durchgehend bei 500-600MB/s. Klar deutlich langsamer als die 2000, die manche andere schaffen, aber wenn man mal 70GB überträgt, was ich oft muss, dauert das mit der hier deutlich weniger lang, als mit den "SUPER FAST WUNDERN" Wenn man eh nur 2-4GB Daten aufspielen muss, dann sind auch die mit 500MB/s in unter 5 Sekunden drüben. Also bitte (hier X beliebigen renommierten Hersteller einfügen), fixt euren Chache...

Bonjour j'ai était surpris de sa qualité très bon produit la seul choses c'est que il chauffe un peu attention ou vous le mettez mais sinon surpris par sa puissance j'ai tester de mettre plusieurs longue vidéo qui font beaucoup de giga est il a très bien réussi le tests à peine 10 minutes pour faire le transfert donc très bon produit ^^ à juste il fait 1,79t pas 2 mais sa ces souvent comme sa ces pour ça qu'il marque tb au lieu de to
