Didn’t work on my Roku tv

I thought this would solve the problem of hooking up our older DVD to a new TV that didn’t have the RCA plugs but it didn’t. The TV wouldn’t recognize the source. I don’t think it was the new hdmi connection but setup of the TV. I had to ordered the necessary connector from the manufacturer.

Connecting a TV and DVP is not my forte. I needed a cable with HDMI on one end and color-coded male plugs on the other. That's exactly what I got, with excellent delivery service too. It was easy to connect (i. e., the plugs fit) but no signal reached the TV. This is my first return and there's a lot of small print to read, not to mention returns depend on full internet connectivity and a home office that includes a printer. Read the refund information manual far enough and option 3 has UPS print the label and pickup the next day (which is great while social distancing puts us all) at home. All I can say is it was good I had so much time on my hands.

I bought this mistakenly thinking we could run a VHS player into my inlaws' tv for them. It WILL NOT convert the signal. If you have a new device that you need to convert from HDMI output to the three plugs input you will be fine. The cable arrived quickly and seems durable, and I stress that the mistake was mine alone. Don't make the same mistake as I did, you will need a cable with a signal converter to run your old DVD or VHS player to your HDMI TV.

With my AVR in the front of my room, I needed to either string speaker wire across the floor to my rear speakers, buy an expensive wireless speaker system, or make use of an in-wall HDMI cable feed to get to the back side of the room to drive my rear speakers. This worked perfectly by allowing me to use the HDMI wiring to bring the AVR rear speaker analog signal to the rear speakers over that wire. What this cable does is to spilt out the specific audio/video HDMI lines into RCA lines... a direct signal pass through, be it analog (as in my case) or digital. I bought two of course, one for the feed from my AVR and another for the feed to the speakers. I also bought RCA-to-banana plug cables for easy connections without having to strip off the RCA connectors. I did not use the 3rd "video" feed since I was only concerned with audio.

We got this chord to hook up a VHS player to our tv and didn’t work, found out we need to get another chord in order for this one to work. Not tech savvy so not anyone’s fault but mine, Chornobyl looks very nice and durable!

There is nothing wrong with it that I can tell, but it didn't work to connect my old TV with the new Roku I got. I had to put the old Roku back on the TV.

This item was just what I needed! My TV for whatever reason stopped recognizing the HDMI port but could recognize color cords. I did not know this existed and was a life saver from getting a brand new TV. I am over impressed with this item and would recommend to anyone!!!

If I could put zero stars, I would! This product is crap, DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! Does not work - the rca end does not fully connect to outgoing video device (DVD player in my case). Note: it says non-returnable item, but if you do a live chat with an Amazon rep, they will likely refund you, especially if you're a prime member. They helped me get my money back on it, without having to return the item. Good luck.

My reservations were confirmed when I connected a dvd player to a tv that did not have a hdmi connection. It obviously didn't work, how can a cable convert a digital signal to a analogue signal without an actual converter?
