Anti Slip Sticky Multi-Purpose Pad, MINI-FACTORY Extra Thick Non Slip Cell Pad for Car Home Office (6.5" X 4.5") (2 Pack)

This review is for (Pack of 2) Extra Thick Sticky Anti-Slip Gel Pad, Mini-Factory PREMIUM Universal Non-Slip Dashboard Mat, which I have had in my possession for two months at the time of this writing. I found it amazingly sticky. It's actually on the verge of being too sticky. I've intentionally waited for several weeks before reviewing to see how the stickyness lasts and you will note that so far it still gets five stars. I even put a GoPro suction cup mount on it (without engaging the suction) and did some recording to see if it would dampen the vibration and it held just fine. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not leave it on very long though because I did not trust it to hold it for any extended time, though it held fine and did not fail, it was only my fears that made me stop using it. I have a case on my phone that has a hard plastic piece that snaps into place on the back to add strength and if I'm not careful and put too much of that in contact with the sticky pad that part sticks to the pad when I pick up the phone and then I have to peel it off the pad and reapply it to my phone. That is not a big deal, but it shows that the pad is really sticky. I can set my sunglasses on it and only a small portion of the frame or temples have to touch the pad and I do not have to worry about them coming loose or even tipping over. So far I have not seen it lose any of its gripping power. Just a couple notes however, My car is almost always in the garage and since I'm retired It does not sit in a parking lot during the day when I'm at work, so it has had very little exposure to direct hot sunlight or in a hot sun baked car . Nor, has it sat out in the cold winter subject to freezing. If something happens in the future to make me change my rating, I will update this then and let you know.

I hesitated because I wasn't sure how sticky this pad was and I didn't want to waste money. Glad I went for it. It is great to hold my glasses while I drive and have my sunglasses on. Then when I park - I switch back. About every 3-4 months I peel it up and run cool water over the pad on both sides and wash all the pollen/dust off that has accumulated. I allow it to air dry over a drying rack (like a cake!!) and it comes out super sticky again and ready to go. If I used a towel or (Lord forbid) paper towel - it would be completely covered in lint. Really works great. WARNING - if you put this on the dash and leave your phone on it - it will likely over heat the phone. Just sayin'

I cut mine up for a custom fit which was a bit difficult as they are very thick. The one on the dash works as expected; it holds well without leaving residue behind. It does collect dust and pollen a bit quicker than the surrounding area. This can be resolved with either a quick wipe with a damp cloth or by taking it out to rinse it off.I cut the second mat to fit a set of unlined cup holders, I'm not extremely fastidious but I do like to keep things tidy on longer road trips. These custom liners help with that while simultaneously keeping my little treasures (sea shells, interesting pebbles, etc.) from rattling around in my cup holder. Cutting was difficult and if you were to go this route I recommend good stout scissors over an exacto knife.

These stick well to my cars dash panels, they do a great job of holding whatever I place on them. While I use them mainly of my sun glasses, I've also placed other small items on the pads without anything slipping off.I do note that they need to be placed on the dash panel while the dash and the pads are warm. Dead of winter or cold outside, you need to warm the interior of the car before trying to use them. Once they stick to the dash, they work great.

This may sound stupid, but sometime later things that are so simple can makes one’s life a bit more organized. I imagine there can be many different uses for this stuff, but I use it on my Jeep dashboard that holds my lighter and my Apple MagSafe charger. Now all I have to do is literally throw my phone on my dashboard. No more messing with wires! Or those ridiculous car mounts that would surely impede my view or my massive stereo screen. It certainly helps with less distractions from unnecessary notifications.I must add this also works to hold up a phone in a vertical position if stuck to the front of the dashboard. I’m about a week from when I started using it, so I’m not sure how long lasting it is. For the price and it’s usefulness, I have no problem replacing it. It’s totally worth it!

No more sliding stuff

Pad is actually too sticky. I have difficulty removing my phone from this pad after installation, but I can pull up the pad fairly easily.Originally gave 2 stars, but the price and inclusion of 2 mats bumped my review to 3. Just be warned that this pad is most definitely very sticky.

These sticky pads work great for keeping things in place. I use them on the dashboard of my truck to set my phone on when not in my pocket. I also use it to set my coffee cup on when getting in or out, (I don’t often drive using it as a cup holder though). Mainly just a secure spot for my phone. I do have one on top of my beds headboard too, where I set my alarm clock. It keeps it in place so the little “time projector” stays aimed at the same spot on my ceiling. These are incredibly handy.
