It’s a pity the cartridge didn’t work!
Unfortunately the cartridge supplied with the machine didn’t work so it was fortunate I had purchased additional ones. Also the machine I received had a US plug, so just be aware!Using the machine on its own is ok if you just want basic labels. The screen display does not reflect the actual type size. It’s much easier to link the labelprinter to a computer and print directly to it so you are able to see exactly what you are printing and have much more flexibility, using type, symbols, images etc.

Average
It's enormous, comes with the wrong charger (for UK) and has buttons on the front that someone thought would be a good idea, dark grey on a black background. WTF? Prints come out clear but this is a dinosaur clinging on for dear life. If you can get it sub £30 go for it.Did someone say cash cow?Dymo, shame on you.

Best Label Maker Ever
I bought this in hopes of labeling some boxes to better organize my storage and this has exceeded my expectations. There is a lot of options in font size, color, style, and character options. It's quick and easy to print and sticks on pretty well. After using the super old ones that you spun to a digitalized version, it's such a wonderful leap in technology.

competitive price, exact time delivery smooth transaction.
The 280 replaces an earlier Dymo machine and the tags used for electronic labelling are clearer and neater than the earlier style.

Serious Upgrade over my older Dymo printer
This is a Serious Upgrade over my older Dymo printer(LabelManager 160) which quit printing some characters. The rechargeable battery is nice but most of my printing is from my desk. This printer uses Dymo Connect so creating labels is so much easier via my PC.One of my pet peeves on the older printer was having to type and delete characters one key press at a time. That tended to be tedious for longer labels and is still an issue when you are creating labels away from the desk.
