Buy it great addition to any queer collection
Got me hooked on reading more than illustrated queer comics again loved the enemies to lovers slowburn and the tension with the school setup would 100% recommend the queer superior vamp story to twilight we all needed i couldnt put it down a thick book too so plenty to get lost in

Amazing sapphic fantasy romance
A great read, all the way through. It does some very interesting thing with the concept of vampires. Can we please, please get a sequel about Evangeline sorting out her feelings about girls and having her own sapphic romance? She was easily my favorite character in the book and I want to see where her story goes.

Nice unique take on vampires
I enjoyed the story but I think I need to quit reading YA books or maybe it is small independent publishers that I need to avoid. The tale is good but the editing wasn't, dropped words, double words, just distract me to much.

Entertaining and insightful
Being neither a fan of vampire lore, nor a lesbian, nor a habitual reader of YA fiction in general, I was not sure what to expect when a friend strongly recommended Sasha Laurens’s Youngblood on the basis of the author’s professional expertise in studying dissident communities under authoritarian political regimes. To my surprise, once I started reading the book I could not put it down. The narrative was well-structured and suspenseful. The characters were sympathetic and believable (even as vampires with centuries-long backstories). Some themes were universal: the anxiety of a lower-class person attempting to fit in among peers of a higher status without losing her values or sense of purpose, the push-and-pull of teenage love, the evils committed by a greedy business intent on smothering philanthropic innovation. It’s an entertaining tale with an optimistic vision – check it out!

Not horrible, but not great
I really, really wanted to love this book. A sapphic vampire story at a boarding school? Some secret society stuff going down? Mystery? Enemies to lovers? All those things check my boxes! And yet, the book didn’t quite deliver. I didn’t really like either of the MCs and, to be honest, their whole relationship was just flat. All the events seemed forced and a bit too predictable. This just wasn’t the book for me.

Such a good book!
This book literally inspired me to start reading books again. I usually only read fanfiction, mostly because I enjoy the freedom fanfic writers have in their storytelling, and I've also never really been a fan of vampire stories. (Twilight killed it for me.) But this book was given to me as a gift and since I myself identify as a lesbian, I figured, what the heck. I'll give it a try. I started to read it and literally could not put it down. I love the style in which it was written, the storyline, the mystery, the slow burn, everything! It was so good! I will definitely keep an eye on future books Sasha may write. Really, really enjoyed the experience of reading this book. Thanks for writing it, Sash! Loved it.
