I have only had these for 6 months now and they have stopped working. I had a similar issue with the Govee lights under the eave of my house. It doesn't appear that these things hold up well to the elements, but I will reach out to Govee and report back if their customer service team is worth buying more products from them or not. Update: their customer service is very hassle free. They sent me a replacement and not long after I had a similar issue and they gave a full refund. Although I had issues with the lights, I’ll still continue to order from Govee. Their customer support makes it all worth it.

These Govee spotlights completely exceeded my expectations! The brightness is impressive, and the colors are so vibrant—perfect for adding mood lighting indoors or highlighting outdoor décor. The app control is super user-friendly, and I love how many color options, scenes, and settings there are. They feel really sturdy, the cords are a good length, and the lights respond instantly to changes in the app. I also loved the music-sync feature—such a fun touch for parties or holidays. Overall, these spotlights are high-quality, reliable, and make any space look amazing with barely any effort. Highly recommend!

I never write reviews, but had to this time. I tried to deal with support to get some type of refund or credit, but just got the run around. Do not buy these if you plan on putting them outside. I bought the first set and within days a couple of the lights started flashing and illuminating the wrong colors. I discovered water had gotten past the seals and shorting out the led board in the light. I bought another set and the same thing happened to 2 more spotlights. The seal for the lenses are faulty and not water proof. If it rains where you live and they are going outside then stay away from this product.

Bought the 4-pack from Lowe’s and this 2-pack from Amazon. After the first very mild rain the first week, there was water/condensation on the inside of the light. I have seen this issue complained about on Reddit and in other places. Some have mentioned success with gorilla glue around the rim of the diffuser but I have not tried this. The 4-pack which was out several weeks longer in multiple rain storms did NOT have this problem so I’m hoping it’s just a quality control issue and doesn’t actually speak to the longevity (or lack thereof) of the lights. Customer service was exceptional which I was not expecting. If these prove to be somewhat durable in the extreme southern heat and rains, I will probably be transitioning from Philips Hue (they are so expensive). The colors look fantastic and the lights are quite bright. They really highlight my garden. Setting them up is easy. Suggestions / Requests: 1. The fast, dynamic animations are great for holidays and events, but on a day to day basis, it would be nice to have options for a more gentle, less dramatic and flashy animation set to choose from. I would love to have a color scene that doesn’t look like I’m throwing a rave in the middle of a quiet neighborhood road at 11pm. 2. Please don’t have to light setting / animation change simply by tapping on another tab. For example, if the lights are on a static setting (“color” tab), then I tap the scenes tab to view all the scenes, it automatically switches it to the last scene. But sometimes I’d love to browse them before the lights start going full on party mode due to my last option. The app functions well but it definitely would benefit from some streamlining and better/alternative organization. I am excited to try the curtain lights in the future.

Bought the 4 pack. 2 of the lights died after my exchange period Very disappointed. I then bought the 2 pack after reading reviews I sealed the rim With clear silicone caulk. So far no water got in. Love the lights, but they need better quality for that price

I liked these spotlights from Goove. Easy to install and the app that controls the lights was simple to follow. Till the rains did not come, it was working fine and I was very happy with the purchase. And then it started raining. On 2nd day of the rains, I noticed my holiday lights were off. Upon investigating it looked like GFCI outlet had tripped. These spotlights were the only addition to my existing holiday light setup. I reset the outlet but it kept on tripping indicating some issue. I took these spotlights off the circuit and everything started working fine. Looked inside the lights and I could see water droplets inside. The product is marketed as water proof which I think is misleading. The manufacturer should fix the design. Since I am within the return window, these are going back for a refund. Overall, a really nice product if they can truly make it waterproof. Otherwise, it is a waste of money.

Great lamp unit itself, similar brightness to the Hue version. Let down by the power supply and cables. Very impressed while they worked. I have both the Hue Lily version and these, I wanted to try these as they are a great price. First set however stopped working due to water ingress in the connector between the cable and the lamp unit (supposedly the waterproof area); but the o-ring set up is not good enough to prevent water ingress. When I disconnected the lamp, I could see the pins we corroded. I agree Govee support was/is great. They sent out a 2nd set to replace them, but these stopped working after 3-4 months, this time the power supply is dead. I know this as I can test the lamp units on my old PSU (with the one good connector). No now I have 4 lamps units that (could) work but no way to use them as the PSU and cable connectors are the weak link. I haven't bothered to try get customer support on this 2nd set. I just replaced them with the more expensive Hue Lily. When setting these up as a replacement for the Govee I was reminded just how good quality the HUE lamp units, brackets, PSU and thick cables are. I have had 1 or 2 issues with my previous Hue set but nothing a new connector block didn't solve for $10. So all in all my previous Hue set is 5 years old and still working. I went through 2 Govee sets in 12 months. So it is a shame but the value of the Govee lights are poor when considering this. I don't know why Govee don't just charge $10-20 more but with a better PSU and cable connectors that are deserved by the lamp units themselves, or at least have replacement cables and PSUs available. If these were even $125 but lasted 3-5 years the would be a great purchase again. I will be happy to try Govee again if they improve there exterior products; as I do also use some interior Govee products that are still working.
