I tried out this product immediately after getting it since anyone who works out knows you can't wait to try a new piece of equipment out. It works very well. As you can see I put it on a weight bench and then I kneeled behind it and it works perfectly that way. I have not tried it on my lap but I think that would be a very cumbersome way of using it. But all in all it is a good addition to my home. I highly recommend it.

Pros: This is a nice, solid rhomboid (HS geometry) pad. Due to the shape, you have some flexibility on the angles that you do your curls with. The cover is very nice and thick, and should hold up to just about any normal usage. The cover is also removable, so it's theoretically replaceable, if you should tear it or otherwise damage it. The padding is dense enough to stand up to a pretty heavy pair of dumbbells or EZ bar. Cons: This is a uni-tasker (to quote Alton Brown). It has one function, and that's it. I haven't discovered any other exercises that I can use it for yet. I'll keep looking, though. It's also pretty pricey for something that can be done using an incline bench, albeit one arm at a time on a bench (unless you lay your aerobics step crossways on the bench, and use that as a platform). If you like to hit your biceps hard, this is probably worth the money. For the average Joe, there are other ways to accomplish preacher curls.
