The game box was broken and it was missing most of the cards of the original Agricola game. Plus, interestingly, it had a deck of misprinted cards. Agricola is a great game. This review is about this copy.

UPDATE: photos 4 onwards. Ordered 2nd time and item came OPENED and not in shrink. Disappointed. Born are torn as well. Received the package with the box insert damaged as well as corners of the outer box damaged. For a high price quality should have been better.

Agricola is an amazing game, tons of options on how to play and the massive list of expansions really open the game even further to almost never having repeat games. Only issues are that it's a pain to find a simple list of all the expansions and how they integrate into each version of the core game. Also my copy arrived with internal damage, spacer was bent pretty heavily. Still worth the money however, wish the game was more popular.

Never played this but heard lots and lots of people rave about how great it was, so for Christmas I pulled the trigger and picked up this big, "deluxe" anniversary edition. 1. This edition does not include the 3 main Expansions for the game. 2. The box is specifically designed to hold the Expansions which means literally the bottom half of the box is empty without them. 3. The 2 "resource and component trays" included are made of Cardboard not Plastic. Thus they are Extremely flemsy and fall apart and spill the pieces if you dont handle it in exactly the right way. I ended up having to glue the trays together to get them to hold together. Save some trees and give us Plastic especially for this price point! 4. The box lid is designed to not sit "flush" when you close the box. Think Lords of Waterdeeps box. Which normally wouldnt bother me, but for this gigantic box, it's extremely inefficient and looks terrible. And if you store your games on their sides like I do, you HAVE to place another game next to it to insure the box lid doesnt fall off. In closing, if you dont already own Agricola, get the Revised Edition instead. I wish I had. Otherwise plan on buying the 3 Expansions along side this juggernaught of cardboard and wood just to fill up the half empty box. Also, for this price point, their should have been Plastic trays and/or a well designed insert. Instead they cut down half a forest in an effort to be "eco friendly".

My wife LOVES this and I like it a lot. Every game plays different. They could have put better effort on containers. Buy some paper clips to resolve container issue.
