Tower Electric Salt and Pepper Mills, Battery Operated with Adjustable Ceramic Grinders, Midnight Blue and Rose Gold

I love this 2-in-1 grinder. It really cuts down on hassle while cooking because I can hold it with one hand and easily add seasoning as I go. Some reviewers mentioned that the manual was missing, making it unclear how to insert the batteries or which pod was for salt or pepper. I’m an engineer, so it only took a bit of trial and error to figure out. The batteries go in a typical zig-zag pattern, and once the grinder powers on, pressing each button makes it obvious which pod it controls—pretty logical overall. The finish looks great in shiny chrome. So far, I’m very happy with this purchase. I got it for just over £10 during the Black Friday sale, which feels like a great deal compared to other double grinders that cost more and take up extra space in the kitchen cabinet.

This item was perfect when I first got it but now the pepper side does not work . Can I return it ?tower have told me you have to refund me or replace the item . I spoke to Tower and they said Amazon had to refund me as they sold me to item but I have not heard anything as yet

Elegant looking and works well. It is useful to be able to see how much salt and pepper are in in the grinders and it operates with the push of a button (one for salt and one for pepper). It takes 4 AA batteries. The grind can be set independently for fine or coarse milling. It was bought as a present; but I have subsequently bought myself one to replace my traditional grinders that keep jamming and are opaque so you can't tell if they have run out. This item is also very good value for money compared to, often over-priced, manually operated grinders. It is a bit noisy in operation.

Love the looks of it, treated myself with something to match my other Tower Cavaletto items. I waited a month or so until I had guests before using for the first time. Surprised if needed so many batteries. It’s so noisy!! Really disappointed with that, but more so after using it just a few times (less than 10!!!) it stopped working. The motor makes a noise but the grinder doesn’t move at. First fix it with Pepper, now done ig with the salt too. Sadly because I waited for a special occasion before using it, it’s too late to return for a refund. Really really upset and disappointed. I’m even more sad to see so many other have experienced the same, obviously something faulty in the manufacturing process. Come on Tower, you’re a quality brand with good reputation.

It looked great and worked great until it didn't. I wasn't able to regulate the grinding size on the peppermill, and it stopped grinding all together after a couple of weeks of use only. I was unable to take it apart to try and repair either. I wouldn't want to send it back to get a replacement as it was too much of a hassle but for this price I would have expected higher quality.

This tower electric salt and pepper pot I bought to replace one I had that was a present and developed a fault but I liked it very much, so far have not had any concerns and I’m happy once more.

I bought this to replace the standalone tower black and rose gold grinders. Mine were old, worn and looking a bit tatty with the matte soft layer peeling away exposing a shiny underneath. This however, is gorgeous. It's 2 in 1 so saves space while looking good on the counter. This style doesn't have the soft silicone style layer is is just a mattifyed plastic. Nothing to come off and become unsightly but also not cheap looking plastic either. One thing that is different to the stand alone ones I had previous is this doesn't have an led light, however this stopped working on my old ones not too long after I bought them so not a huge issue. Another difference is my old ones had bottom caps, and while in theory this keeps the counter free of dust, it was a pain handling raw meat, seasoning meat turning over, you needed to pick it up in one hand, fumble around getting the cap off without using your contaminated hand so you can flip the meat and season again, then replace the cap. So in MY opinion the change to not include a cap on this one is justified and a good improvement. The compartments for salt and pepper ate easy to fill, are clearly labeled and the corresponding buttons are responsive. It required 6 batteries which is two less than the total of the stand alone versions. I do need to have a deeper look into adjustments as salt comes out a bit more so than pepper, however I haven't really looked yet. It is possible to change coarseness each side individually I just haven't found the settings suited to me yet. I had a friend over to cook today and she said I need me one of those. So thumbs up there too. For the money I would say this is good value, it's better than the previous ones I had, massive upgrade and super stylish that shouldn't change over time like the last ones.

We like this battery grinder for the ease of use and filling.

Works well. Been using all year. Be very careful how you install the batteries. Follow instruction manual on installing them because it isn't quite clear and I think this is where the bad reviews are coming from because people are burning out the motor with the batteries incorrectly installed.

The product is faulty in that the battery lid does not close properly on one side as the batteries sit higher that side, it pops up as seen in the photos. The return period is only 3 weeks. As i bought this product from England it took longer than this to deliver to Australia and there is no way to contact the seller to try and get a replacement. --- Update --- Contacted Amazon AU and they were very helpful and arranged return of the product and full refund.
