Fun little machine for weekly ice cream night!
We have added this little machine to our traditional homemade pizza night. So now we have a pizza & ice cream night. 🙃Works great. Love that you can add toppings as well.Must rinse & clean immediately with hot water, so that the milk fat doesn’t stay on the mixer paddle.

Not great, limp ice cream and messy...
I love my old delonghi that finall gave out, after almost 20 years. LOVED IT. It was a compressor model and i know this was not. So I purchased two bowl, that amazon recommended to go with it. IT DID NOT, this ice cream maker is newer style and bowl revised, $50 bucks waisted after packaging gone and frozen bowl that did not fit.I think what I do not like is the way this works, messy, too many parts that are unnecessary = hard to really clean and to make it, you really need a very cream based recipe, whole milk, not a way to make a healthy alternative like in a normal compressor nodel, so i made it (after the first bowl disaster) and it was ok, worked, not great, a bit soft and runny (just limp), or it then went too frozen and would not come out. Very little wiggle room, not good. But it worked about 80% of what I expected and have again, experience in making ice cream. I think if i was on a budget, and this was not a budget buy at $179, but if so, i would buy just a simple freezer bowl maker, more options in recipes, you do not need to worry about the soft serve being just right recipe and timing and better experience. I would not buy this again. BUT, i also would really not buy a freezer bowl model again, instead there are new compressor models out there, amazon and magazine recommended I am going to buy, they are about $280, but for the extra money, they do more, no freezing and will use more like my old delonghi. I just do not like this one from Cusinart, it has a limited window of results, take a bit too long, the recipe is really based on heavy cream and milk (not at all healthy and tastes like fatty ice cream) and the texture is only so so. It is way too many parts, messy, big and complicated. Add to this the shoot for kids toppings did not really work, was super messy. This is more of a novelty that was part of a party that I will just never want or like to use again. Waist of money, go better with a compressor if you really make ice cream or a smaller freeser bowl unit - same size both, but smaller machine and not mess and easier, cheaper and you just make ice cream over limp soft serve. I do not recommend this item.

Easy!
This machine is a hit with the family. It is so easy and quick, (30 minutes). No need for salt. Just follow the easy recipes. Our favorite so far is the birthday cake ice cream.

It’s okay, not great
This is a great little machine if you plan way ahead and know you’d like to make ice cream in 2 days. Lol! It does the job and does it quite nicely. But it’s not a quick process. Works well, sturdy, nice features. Pain to clean.

Okay product
The ice cream tastes good, but if you're going for a soft-serve machine, this may not be the route to go. I've used it multiple times in the year I've owned it, and I've used the recipe booklet that came with the maker every time. I would run it for a while and then put it into cones. It would be all runny and not hold its shape in the slightest. It was like a milkshake. The last couple of times I used it, I decided to keep running it for a while and be sure it was nice and thick. When it gets to the desired ice-cream texture, it won't come out of the hole, even when pushed with a spatula. It needs to be scooped out. The ice cream was delicious, but I was hoping for a soft-serve machine.

Terrible quality, doesn’t work, ice cream is too melty
The instruction manual is moderately helpful so are the recipes, but that’s about it. I ordered this for my child during Christmas expecting quality, I was disappointed. The machine is very slow, and even after doing everything said by others in reviews (such as freeze the liquid over night) it still wouldn’t work. The ice cream would always be too liquidy, like a soup. The machine isn’t very hard to use but it doesn’t work well and the motor is not powerful at all. Cleaning this machine was also a major issue as there were many flaws. When the bowl with the mixture is taken out of the machine after being run, there is some left and it spill everywhere, especially in the machine. This is an even larger issue due to the fact that the area it first spills in basically impossible to clean. One of the main reasons I bought it over others is the mixin capabilities, this didn’t work. I filled one with crushed pretzels one with crushed Oreos and one with sprinkles. The sprinkles was uncontrollable and spilled out, the Oreos took for ever to leave the compartment and so did the pretzels. The crank used to open the hatch to let the ice cream pour out was very messy, when the ice cream started to pour out, some would be left in the hatches path, leaving it very sticky. It didn’t help that this was connected to the other uncleanable part mentioned earlier. The machine was honestly a sticky disaster of low quality. If you’re reading this review you probably want a soft serve machine or ice cream machine believe me this is not it. Save your money don’t get this one. I would advise either getting the Ninja one or Breville. The ninja one is $30 more and the deluxe is $60, the breville one is far more expensive but if you’re budget allows I would highly suggest it, (it’s around $500)(Forgot to say earlier): the texture of the ice cream was really abnormal and terrible, it was a very artificial texture.

Grandkids favorite!
This ice cream maker is so easy to use and best of all, easy to clean up. Great for family gatherings or small parties or an after dinner snack.sonce you pick how big or little the amount of ice cream to make. The grandkids love how it comes out like at the ice cream store across town.
