I keep aquarium shrimp, which are very sensitive to water quality. This TDS meter is an essential tool for making sure that I've remineralised my RO water properly. This is the only brand I will use- cheaper ones cannot be calibrated and are generally well off the mark if you test. I tested this one on arrival in 342ppm calibration fluid and found it correctly calibrated.

I had problems with the meter to start with because I wasn't aware that it would come without batteries, a lot of products do not have batteries but these meters have 1,5v button batteries not the sort of battery that you can pick up at the supermarket. On the packet that the meter came in, it only stated that the meter took two 1,5v button batteries giving no battery number for the correct battery to purchase. So I thought I would have to buy lots of different sorts online before I found the right batteries to use.But maybe I am not observant enough because I did finally find the correct number when looking through online.I can not say how accurate the meter is because I do not have another to compare it to.
