MLCS 9099 Universal Router Plate for Porter Cable type Template Guides

This base plate did NOT fit my dewalt DCW600 compact router out of the box, but I drilled my own holes in the plate to line up my router holes and made it work, the guide busing for my jig fits nice and tight into the base plate and it was nice to have an alignment tool included with this product to make sure it's lined up perfect when putting it on the router. That being said there is a chance it wont fit your router if it's similar to mine. But I'm still happy with the purchase and was able to make it work

I too have the Bosch 1617EVSPK Router, and bought this to use in making some dovetailed drawers using the Porter Cable 4212 Dovetail Jig. This base allows me to actually SEE what I'm working on and fits the commonly used Porter Cable Template Guides perfectly. I've now used this to create a number of dovetails and it works flawlessly.Pros:* It's pretty thick, I have no concern with it being fragile or not lasting quite some time, although I could imagine it getting pretty scratched up over time.* It fits the Bosch 1617 router which seems to be a feat in and of itself* It's clear, so I can see the bit contacting the material, which helps a lot, instead of working entirely by feel.* Universal, or at least more than a single product. If I ever buy another router, it's a good chance it'll be within the range of tools it fits* Fits common template guides without the need for 27 Bosch adaptersCons:* It did not come with anything but the base plate. Not centering pin, or screws. Luckily I had these from my original parts kit.Conclusion:It does what I needed it to do. Pretty straight forward

What more can I say. It is simple, well made and and works.

Didn't fit, had to add holes, not UNIVERSAL AT ALL.

Out of the box, it fit my Bosch 1617EVSPK standard base, but not the plunge base. It was pretty simple though to add a couple of additional holes to make it fit the plunge base as well. My only real complaint is that the base doesn't fit back in the storage case with this router plate attached, but that is simply because this plate is larger and more stable than the stock one. It's not a big deal because my router doesn't leave my shop.I would buy this again if I needed another one.

The screws that came with the router palte on this did not fit in my Craftsman Professional plunge router. Unfortunately, I had misplaced the original screws, so I end up using machine screws that I purchased from Home Depot and they did the trick. However, with these screws, the router plate was no longer centered and when I put in my guide bushings, it touched my router bit. I end up having to keep one of the screws a little loose in order to get the router plate to stay centered. I will have to try a different screw at this point. Other than this, the router plate is very thick and well made.

I bought this to put on my rigid router so that I could use the porter cable guide bushings. The bushings fit in well and the base lined up with my rigid router without any modifications to either. This was for a radiant heat tubing install at my home. I haven't tried the bushings for a porter cable dovetail jig yet but expect it to work as well.

Doesn't fit well, as if it were nor really made for Porter Cable. As a result, I've not used it, and may be outside the return window.
