Catholic Bible-RSV: Revised Standard Version, Burgundy, Premium Ultrasoft, Catholic Edition

Nice to see a catholic copy of the RSV. The binding is excellent, paper is good and the text well laid out. The cover is not leather but it feels really nice, opens easily so that the whole Bible will open flat at pretty much any page.Why three stars for such an excellent book? The text is a little small (I know this is subjective but I personally would like larger text, with average eyes you need to concentrate on this). Also the opening pages are for family records - who got married and when etc. - they seem dated now and more to the point they are in colour, almost like a child's colouring book. There are maps at the back but again very simple maps and in the same type of colour. A slightly larger volume with updated introduction pages and better maps would be five plus stars.
