This crankshaft seal installer tool is fantastic! It’s extremely well-made, fits perfectly on both front and rear seals, and makes installation quick and precise. The build quality is solid, and it saved me a lot of time compared to trying to do it manually. A must-have for anyone working on CAT 3406, 3408, or C-15 engines.

Sides not marked.
Before putting in the seal make sure you measure which side to use because they are not marked. Because of this my husband had to pull the transmission back out, get a new seal and use the right side of the tool. They are 1/16" difference. It was not pushed in far enough.

Its ok
It would be nice if you marked what installer is for the front seal and what one is for the rear. Other than that, good bang for your buck.
