AddiClick Set - Short Lace

I use these all the time for hat knitting. I love them and have never had any "catching" on the join. You have to be quite determined to get them on and off but then you know that they are absolutely secure and you are not going to lose your knitting. Very smooth. I concentrate on my knitting and don't have to think about the needles at all. I think any kinking comes out after a couple of minutes in boiling water. I recommend them and like having all the needle sizes with me wherever I go. Decent and useful case too.

Very good product. I just wish they would do smaller sizes for thinner yarn.

Oh, what a disappointment! I was looking forward to getting the Short Lace set so much (it was a birthday gift) and I wanted to like it. I tried to like it. The case is beautiful, and has a very high quality feel to it, but the needles inside are surprisingly inferior:~ They are not sleek and smooth, but somewhat rough.~ The place where the cord joins the tip has a 1mm raised edge and the yarn catches on it as you knit.~ Some of the tips will not click into place, no matter what you do. You really don't know if they are connected or not.~ They just don't "feel good" as you knit with them. They feel cheap and inferior.I really wanted to like them and I kidded myself for a while that they were alright. But in the end I had to admit, they are the worst of all the needles I have and I will never use them.I have a lovely pair of Addi fixed circular needles which are wonderful, and this was the quality I was expecting. I know what quality knitting needles feel like and I thought these would be the same. These are not. Not even close. The only good thing about the whole set is the case, which I loved. The needles are very poor, and regrettably I had to return it.

I really want to be able to give a better review. I have many sets of addi fixed circular needles which I love. This is a good set for dk and thicker yarn but finer yarns get snagged on the join between the tip and the wire. There is a slight lip between the two. I've tried everything to see if it's my not joining them properly but I think it's just the design. Unfortunately I didn't realise this until after the return window as had been working on more heavy weight projects. Stick with addi fixed circular if you like doing lace work in fine yarn...

Love this needle set, easy to attach cords lovely case and an absolute delight to knit with.

AN HONEST REVIEW:This addi click interchangable short length lace needle set was quite expensive but I love knitting and believe you get what you pay for. However, 'quality' I did not find with this set. I have used well known brand interchagables, Knit Pro, for several years. I was frustrated that they sometimes become loose and begin to 'unscrew' after an hour or two of knitting, then need to be retightened and the tiny wire 'key' is fiddly to use. Can't understand why they don't provide a more ergonomic key?Before I bought the addi set I watched U Tube reviews and read other reviews. I was impessed and sent for them. However, upon arrival this addi set actually had one or two faulty needles...I did test this and believe i am correct. I was able to attach the cable easily to most needles in the set and they remained attached when sample knitting. However, one of the 4mm size and one of another size were very difficult to attach, hurt my fingers trying. Eventually, I 'appeared' to have attached successfully. But after knitting 3-4 rows, half my stitches slid off as the 'faulty' needle detached from the cable, without warning. (Always the same two needles only). Very frustrating tried and retried, then lost patience. I use 4mm more than any!Needles to say, I have lost confidence in this product. Shame as I really had high hopes. Appears to me that addi's quality control, needs improving. If the set had not contained faulty needles I really think it would have met my needs. Of course I can't comment upon longevity.

I've used several interchangable needle sets to date, but this is easily the worst. I'd always thought Addi needles were the Rolls Royce of the knitting world, having used their fixed circulars for many a year, and asked for this set as a Christmas present, expecting them to be better than my current favourite, Knit Pro. Boy, am I disappointed!The cords are not very flexible, and kink easily, and the cord extension part is very long - 8.5cm - and makes using the joined cords even more unwieldy. Given that the available cords max. length is 100cm, if you're in the habit of knitting large items, you *will* need to use the extension. However, the worst part is that the join between cord and needle end is *very* poor, with a noticable neck, and catches in your yarn all the time, making sliding your work along very difficult. And although the "Click" joint makes it easy to attach to the needles, it will also come apart quite easily, leaving your work in a tangled mess.Compared to my Knit Pro set, these are really rubbish, and will unfortunately be relegated to the "mistakes" cupboard. If you're thinking of buying any Addi Click sets, don't waste your money, go for A Knit Pro or even a Hiya Hiya set instead.

I have several sets of standard length interchangeable needles, so I was going out on a limb with these shorties. The price was irresistible, especially when you consider how expensive a set of cords is. The short needle is *perfect* for making hats, and there was no “learning curve” and all in using them. They are different, but there is no loss of needle control, which I feared might be the case. I have big hands, but found myself getting along with them beautifully. I was already familiar with Addi, and love the interchanging mechanism. Once it “clicks,” it is very secure. I am surprisingly pleased with this purchase!

Avis d'apprenti tricoteur!Très bien, les aiguilles glissent superbement. J'aurais aimé que le kit descende jusqu'a 2mm.Vérifiez bien les différents set proposé par la marque, celles ci-sont un peu courtes pour moi qui début, mais je ne doute pas que je m'y ferais.Dommage qu'on ne puisse pas acheter de pointes plus fines pour des projets plus délicat. Je suis obligé de compléter avec un kit de la concurrence.

Die Addi-Lace (international auch Rocket genannt) Nadeln, sind wirklich hervorragend. Ich ärgere mich, dass ich nicht schon längst in sie investiert hatte. Sie sind nicht so spitz wie Chiaogoo oder HiyaHiya, - Letztere tun ja richtig weh, - sondern haben eine angenehme Spitze, mit der man den Faden gut aufnehmen kann. Den englischen Namen Rocket haben sie nicht umsonst, es sind definitiv Nadeln für Tempo-StrickerInnen, aber auch Entspannungs-StrickerInnen, wie ich, profitieren davon.Man sollte beim Bestellen darauf achten, einen deutschen Shop zu wählen, da es wohl Produktionsunterschiede gibt. Bei diesem Set sind rote Seile dabei, allerdings keine SOS-Seile, die muss man zusätzlich bestellen. Bei den langen Lace-Nadeln sind SOS-Seile dabei.

Acquistato su Amazon warehouse. Penso il difetto sia la custodia che non è in pelle o finta pelle come da desctizione, ma in canvas. Per me gli aghi sono la cosa più importante e non ho visto difetti. Chiaramente se lo avessi acquistato nuovo mi avrebbe dato fastidio ricevere una custodia differente, ma per il prezzo pagato, ottimo prodotto
