Warm, Comfy and Water/Snow Ready. Love!
This boot is really comfy, with a ride that feels more like a hefty running shoe than a clunky boot. Exactly what I wanted. The grip is excellent, so far handling ice patches and full-on snow with ease. The warmth is great so far; I’ve worn it for 40min in single-digit temps with only one pair of Smartwool hiking socks and my toes stayed cozy. Walking through slush and areas of 3-5” snow, my feet stayed dry, so the waterproofing works well. The fit is in line with their running shoes, so a 7.5 fits the same as a Fresh Foam 1080 runner, for example. I got my usual running shoe size (which is 1/2 size up from a street shoe for me). If you want more wiggle room for two sock layers, or have wider feet, I suggest going up 1/2 size from running shoes, or 1/2 to full size up from street shoes. My only slight con is that there is no tongue, so the boots can be a little hard to get on/off and tighten. I have pretty narrow ankles/heels so it’s not too bad, but it’d be easier with a traditional tongue/lace system. Same goes for tightening; I need a tight lock to stop my heels from slipping up in most shoes and that’s harder to do with a solid boot instead of a tongue. Luckily, the upper material is flexible so you can cinch the laces up pretty well.Overall, awesome boots. Warm, comfy and waterproof for handing daily winter wear and some snowy plodding with the kids!

Look great with black leggings!
UPDATE: Liked the white pair so much, I purchased a black pair. If my opinion changes we will have to wait for winter to find out.Tip for NB shoes, take care of them by wiping after wear and only wearing twice in a row, then switch to another pair. The shoe will definitely outlast the insoles, so just replace those. If you've kept them clean it's like having a new pair of shoes!Yes, they are comfortable and fit well. What surprises everyone is that they are New Balance and look so good. I don't believe they are made for snow. They have performed well in moderate rain and forty degree temperatures. I sprayed them to protect against stains and water.

nice outdoor walking boot for colder areas
I picked these up on a serious discount and was quite pleased. They are basically a combination of a running shoe and an UGG style boot. I don't plan to wear these out and about much, but they are perfect for the walking trails in Ohio in the fall and winter. On the down side, they are huge -- out on the walking trail I don't care how they look, and if there is ice on the ground, then a nice wide base is helpful. However, I felt like I was wearing full blown army boots or rubber rain boots when I tried them on in the house just due to their large size. On a related note, I honestly think they came in the biggest shoe box I have ever seen -- it's actually kind of comical its so large. Super comfy, great for walking and still having a bit of warmth, these are great if you live in a colder area, just be prepared to make a double or triple sized space in you closet to accomodate them.

New Balance creates awesome walking boots!
I cannot say enough about New Balance and these boots. I walk two dogs in 20 degree snow weather and I don't even have to use socks. My toes stay cozy warm and the boots while walking hug my feet and keep them warm and dry. I have a pair of New Balance sneakers I bought at Walmart and they are so comfortable which prompted me to look into walking winter boots. I would definitely buy a 1/2 size up if they offer that... however, they fit snugly at first and feel almost too tight but not once you start walking.. HEAVEN!

Not very comfortable
I thought these would be super comfortable being New Balance but they weren't. They were stiff and more narrow than my other New Balance shoes. Very nice looking but I had to return them since they were uncomfortable.

Love these boots
Love love love these boots. With the orthotics and half size up the fit pretty good. Easy to slip on and off, they a are very warm and comfortable. If you need a lot of room get the wide. AAAGot them for my plantar fasciitis. Stable and built for durability.

Not good for long walks
This boot will probably be fine for short excursions, but it lacks the footbed flexibility and support of the excellent earlier version that was more like a sneaker and had a separated tongue. That version was great for tromping miles in the snow. This one is more for driving to the store, and the fur trim looks pretty goofy. Women like to walk long distances, New Balance! This is not a serious boot.

These are super cute and very sturdy
These are super cute and very sturdy. They are a big heavy but should be great when we get buried in snow. The wide width fits well, it was a tad snug but after some breaking in I am sure they will stretch a bit.
