will this paste eliminate tiny noticable scratches?

Hi IZZY,I used this stove black on an indoor cast iron wood stove, and an outdoor chimenea. In both cases, the stoves looked great, and the paste is simple to apply....reminded me of shoe polish. It's much easier (and no fumes) than the high heat paints I used previously. The chimenea lasted a few months before the rust spots started to show through, but I was impressed it lasted that long. Be aware that this has a very dull matte black finish, no shine at all. As far as scratch coverage, I guess it covered them, but my cast iron pieces had a rough finish so I didn't really notice. what's the difference between the paste & liquid imperial stove polish?

The paste will fill in the little pits on the top of the stove created by water and rust. It gives it a "like new" appearance.

Can this product be used on the black stove pipe?

Hi Randall, yes it can. I have blackened my stove's pipes with this product. I applied it with a rag, and then buffed it out some.

Can this be used on cast iron door knobs and handles to keep them looking new? Or would the paste rub off on your hands after application?

It would rub off on your hands.
