I've been back and forth with skin care for years. From pricey brands to more affordable brands. My last purchase of vitamin c serum was from skinceuticals. Super expensive and although it was ok it certainly isn't worth the price. I use the snail mucin from cosrx and I really like it, so I decided to try the vitamin c 13 from cosrx. They also have a vitamin c 23, but I wanted to try the 13 first. Like many of the reviews mention it does have a "fishy" smell to it, but it doesn't last for long. I'm on the 5th day of using this and I can't believe it. I can see a difference. My skin is brighter and softer in just a few days. I've never with any other skin product have seen results so quickly. I do believe I've finally found a good vitamin c serum that I'm gonna stick with and like I mentioned this is the 13%. When this is gone, I'll order the 23%. I do recommend starting with the 13% to avoid any skin irritation and then move up to the 23%. I am a little bummed out because it took me a long time and alot of money before I was able to find cosrx, but now that I found it, I'll continue to use it. I highly recommend and shout out to cosrx for making awesome skin care products affordable. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It's difficult for me to open the box yet worth the fight. I love the sound upon opening. The suction says it's well packaged. It's a fantastic product. I noticed while starting on the second bottle an improvement in my skins appearance. I had have discoloration but my skin is much more even toned now. This is a pleasant surprise. No C serum improved my skin. I use vitamin C serum because you're "supposed" to. This one works. This product even teaches users how to apply and massage the serum in. I'll continue to buy the COSRX serum because it works. It lasts about a month using once daily. For the price that's good enough considering less effective vitamin C serums show no improvement at all. I love that users are taught to refrigerate this C Serum. That means top notch quality! The last picture is the difference the loss of potency when the product is not refrigerated . The final picture is the serum when it's fresh and refrigerated. The serum is lighter in color when it's kept cold and fresh

Yes, it is moisturizing. It is even better than paper masks. But it has a scent like food (?), that is a bit strange, and the serum is so yellow, every morning I wipe my face with cotton pad with toner, the pad became yellow….. so I guess it makes your skin more yellow too?

Many people in the reviews have been complaining about the smell but in my opinion the smell is tolerable. Overtime I've grown accustomed to it. I've also noticed a slight improvement of my skin in the short time I've used it. The discoloration on my face has definitely improved and I think if I continue to use it, it'll be even better. So I think you just have to be patient and consistent with the product. You won't get results overnight. I've been a big fan of cosrx for awhile now. I've tried their poreless serum, snail mucin, and a moisturizer and so far the results aren't groundbreaking but still good enough that I continue purchasing. Overall, all the products combined have left me satisfied with how my skin is looking though I'm still far from achieving glass skin.Update: !!!! I LOVE IT !!!! The redness on my skin has gone completely. I still have some dark spots here and there from acne but the redness around my cheeks and nose is gone which I was really insecure about. I feel confident without foundation now.

Background: I’m not a skin care expert and am not a skin care professional. But I’m someone who recently got into skin care for myself. I have uneven skin tone and dull looking skin. In my 30s, brown skin, and I seldom use any makeup.About Vitamin C and this product:Vitamin C is great to even out skin tone and make it bright. This one is a very potent Vitamin C serum - it is 13% vitamin C. To put that into context, most starter vitamin C serums and creams are 10%. But this concentration suited me well and I saw results almost from Day 1. A little goes a long way, don’t need to apply too much. Within 2 weeks most of my dark patches were gone and my skin was glowing. After 1 month of use I even stopped using makeup altogether even while going out. In short it worked great for me.The catch:Do remember, this is acidic (Ascorbic acid). And it is pretty concentrated at 13%. If you have sensitive or thin skin, this should NOT be the first thing you should apply on cleansed face. Use a toner or anything which can repair skin barrier before using this serum. Otherwise it can cause extremely dry skin, irritation and redness. I use the Cera Ve hydrating toner. Also follow it up with a good moisturizer to prevent skin from drying. If you are going out in the sun then sunscreen is a must, otherwise this will do more harm than good. Don’t overdo it, applying it once a day and like a serum (few drops) should be enough. Look out for patches of redness and dried skin when using, it is usually means you are overdoing it and need to back off a little. Use a night moisturizer to calm the skin - that worked for me.

I have extremely sensitive skin, but after using this product for a week, I haven’t experienced any irritation. It absorbs very well. Initially, I was just trying it out, but it far exceeded my expectations. I’m very pleased to get such a great product at this price. I rarely write reviews, but I really like this product. I keep it in the refrigerator, as I believe it helps preserve its active ingredients better.​

I like the consistency of this vitamin C serum. It's watery and soaks into the skin very quickly, doesn't leave alot of stickiness afterward like some others I've used. It has a slight unpleasant odor which doesn't linger but it may bother some users. It's very important to read the small user guide included in the box because this serum must be refrigerated after opening in order to maintain it's freshness and efficacy.
