A great alternative to reupholstering
I took my time removing the wheel and stitching carefully. The leather came up a bit short on the connection "legs" where they should tuck under the center piece, but otherwise it looks and feels great.

Must be patient and stitch properly but end result is great.
Restored my 2003 Sequoia wheel to like new!

A really good product that looks great installed
I installed this leather cover on my ‘07 GX470 worn OEM steering wheel. Mine was grey and matched the interior of the car surprisingly well. The package comes with everything you need. Instructions, two needles and an excess amount of thread.Once installed, the quality and feel of this cover is actually amazing! I was worried that it would turn out looking like some janky after market add on. But the cover is not any lesser than what you would find on a new Audi or BMW.There are a few caveats, hence 4 not 5 stars.1. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. This applies to covered content as well as translation from original language. Although there are illustrations and even a link to an installation video that I watched twice, the instructions are still marginal.2. Aligning the cover prior to starting the sowing is really important. Both in the clocking around the steering wheel as well as with respect of the seam position. Here the instructions need to be much more specific.3. Applying the double sided tape is pretty important. Apply it on the uninstalled cover and remove the tape backing after you perfected the above mentioned alignment.4. Getting things around the spokes of the steering wheel aligned right is probably the most difficult part of the installation. Mine had 4 spokes, which added more overall complexity. Additionally, tucking in the extra leather around the spokes (the manual calls it stuffing) is not as easy and straight forward as one hopes. To get it perfect, I don’t see a way around actually removing the steering wheel and all it’s trim pieces. I did not go that far but may do it at a later point.5. The sowing itself, the part I was most concerned about, was actually the easiest and most satisfying part of the installation. The process is pretty forgiving and one can achieve a pretty perfect seam without difficulty. Again, having the seam aligned in the beginning pays dividends here.Overall, this is a really great product. The installation requires some patience and time. I’d say plan for a half day in a well lit area. If I had to do it again, I’d probably remove the steering wheel and install the cover while sitting at a table. Access to and threading from the back side while in the car can be tedious, particularly around the spokes.

Installation Tips
Just finished stitching mine. Great product! A few tips;1.) take your time. I think I took a couple of breaks and all in it was about 2 hours.2.) watch the YouTube video of theirs. The instruction sheet they send is pretty good.3.) make sure you remove ALL of the backing of the double back tape once you start stitching. If you don’t, it will be visible as a bump under the leather once you’re done.4.) do it outside on a sunny day. I tried it in the garage with portable lighting and my 60 year old eyes just weren’t happy.5.) the kit has 2X the amount of thread you need. Give yourself plenty for each section,6.) you will end up burning the thread with a lighter at the end of each section to seal it off. If you do this outside and it’s windy be careful! That thread is very flammable.7.) I stood next to the wheel in my car rather than sitting in the drivers seat.8.) constantly start your rig and turn the steering wheel into a good position for sewing. This was critical for me.Have fun. It really looks great when you’re done. I used the dark gray kit.

Worth it! Read this review!
So this is definitely worth it. The shipping time sucked, but I’m just impatient lol. Install much easier with the wheel off the car, that was my preference. Also didn’t feel like wrapping it outside in the Florida heat! Overall I’m pleased with the outcome. I’m a perfectionist so there’s spots I could’ve gotten better, just take your time (3-4 hours) sure beats $200-300 for a newer or refurbished steering wheel, we will see how long it lasts!

Almost perfect, better than stock
Great upgrade for my GX470 steering wheel. It adds a bit of thickness for better grip. The stitching part was a real pain. Took 3-4hrs. I felt the fitment was not great. Even though I lined up everything the 4 parts leading to the center of the wheel were not cut perfectly. I had to really stretch it to fit and then the thread would break. When I finally got it there was clear wrinkles behind (pictured). You can feel it when driving but still better than stock. I felt the measurements could’ve been better, but for $55 it’s worth the upgrade.
