SwarovskiNL Pure 12x42 Binoculars w/FSB Sidebag, Strap, Eyepiece, Lens Cover and Cleaning Kit 36012

This is my third pair of Swarovski binoculars and whilst the glass is excellent I wouldn’t buy them again and I’m glad I kept my previous pair just in case. My principal disappointment is the fact that the dioptre adjustment arrangement is it really badly thought out. About three times an outing fee leader gets knocked out of position requiring regular readjustment. This was not the case on the previous model which had a locking mechanism. Secondly – I don’t know what they’ve done to the overall coating that after three months where the coating rubs against a jacket the surface erodes. Again that never happened on the previous pair. Finally after six months I am on my fourth set of lens caps where the attachment structure is clearly isn’t strong enough and again it’s a badly thought out systemThis did on occasion happen on the previous pair ( again 10x42) but never to the same extent.It’s such a shame because the quality of the image is outstanding - keep an eye on E- Bay !
