Fantastic bit of kit
This pump is superb and the fact that it can be submerged is a real bonus. We needed to empty our hot tub and what took literally hours previously when doing that manually, was done in no more than an hour. This has been one of the best purchases we’ve made on Amazon and I’d highly recommend it to anyone needing a fast and effective water pump.

Powerful pump
This pump shifted loads of dirty water very effectively. Powerful jet of water! We struggled a little with the float which controls the on/off mechanism but after looking at the instructions, we hooked it to the body of the pump and it worked very well. A good purchase.

Worth the money
I had previously purchased a pump from another manufacture which was useless as pump and I had returned it. I was drawn to this pump as an alternative replacement, because of the built in float/sensor switch. There are two options for taking the outlet pipe from the pump, straight and right-angle which makes it very versatile. There is a none return value in the outlet, that you can take out to clean, ideal for dirty water pumping.I did give up on my lay flat discharge hose and used a 32mm ridged hose instead. The pump dose work fine with both but the lay flat hose would kink every now and then stopping the flow, which is not ideal for unattended pumping. We wanted to pump the water out of a French drain we were putting into the trench of foundations for out extension while we are digging. The trench bottom is about 50mm below the current water table. We put a chamber (inspection chamber riser) in 200mm below the trench level. Put Geocloth at the bottom and then 50mm of gravel which the inspection chamber sat on top of. Back filled the hole on the outside of the chamber riser higher than the trench level with gravel. We then dug the foundation trench with a very tiny slope towards the chamber. The result is the trench is dry with water running down to the chamber. When the chamber fills up, the pumps built-in switch turn the pump on. The result is a dry trench below the water table. This is a real good pump and although not the cheapest, from my experience it was worth the additional cost from a cheaper model.

Powerful pump, sucks from even fairly shallow puddles
A decent, powerful pump. Bough with the plan of using it in a sump pit - where the built-in float is much more suitable than the style that are out on a separate cable and could get caught against the side of the pit and have the pump run dry.So far, though, I've used it to clear water from some deep puddles after some very heavy rainfall, and it worked a treat, sucking water from quite low down, and shifting a good volume of water very quickly. The upright outlet is fine for a sump pit based setup, but can cause issues with hose positioning if you're just planning to sit it in a deep puddle and run flat disharge hose along the ground, as the hose will kink at the top - you'll need to either do something to help prop the hose to avoid that - hence the crate in one of my photos - or buy a screw-on 90 degree elbow outlet instead of the supplied vertical one.

Poles wouldn’t fit together due to wrong connector in the box
Having to send this straight back today after receiving it yesterday. Couldn’t build the poles as one of the connectors wouldn’t fit anything! Totally useless. Even went to a hardware store to try and buy an alternative connector to join the extension poles together but the guy in the shop said absolutely nothing will fit it as it’s clearly been packed with the wrong piece. He really tried hard to find an alternative connector so I didn’t have to send it back but nothing would fit. Bought this specifically to go in my water butt so I could hook it over to attach a hose with ease. Having to send it back now for a refund without even an option to replace. Was looking forward to using it at the weekend. Gutted. It looks like a good pump too other than the poles not fitting together.

Not impressed
9 months ago my pond pump 20 years gave op the ghost. I decided to change my pond layout so I decided to get this pump as a stop gap for 12 months until I had finished my revamp.Admittedly I could be using the pump for none intended purpose but given that it is intended to cope with dirty water containing solids and capable of pumping 8m head height, I thought running in ultra clean water whilst ansuring the head height was never more than 2m that it would be OK. Also, given that there is supposed to be a thermal shut off, if I pushed the pump it should turn off until it cools. After 4 months the pump tripped the breaker, inspection of the pump showed that the impellor was very stiff to turn. I freed it up and all was fine for for a further 4 months (8 months in total). Now the pump is no longer tripping the breaker but blowing the 13amp fuse in my fuse panel instantly. The impeller shaft solid and I cannot move it manually. Given that the motor is 750w it should pull a little over 3amp maximum so I am very suprised that it instantly blows 13amp fuses whild not tripping the breaker.I am sure if you are just using it to drain something for a couple of hours you will get plenty of use from the pump, but I would not recommend it for anything more than that.

Good in the right conditions.
This pump worked well when i tested it to empty a bucket of tap water however I noticed that it is labelled as a clean water only pump, so not suitable for the flood water which was threatening my house. Also the mains plug does not incorporate an PCB, and for a device that will be used a wet environment I would have thought would be essential. However the water level detector arrangement worked well and better than the usual float switch. Would empty down to a very shallow depth of water in the intended use.
